About
Desert Springs Resort has a longstanding reputation as a luxury resort that offers something for everyone. There are two championship golf courses that sprawl across beautifully landscaped grounds covered with lush vegetation and sparkling lagoons, providing a scenic oasis amidst the desert surroundings. From nearly every hole at the resort, golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the Coachella Valley and Santa Rosa Mountains. Water is the most prominent feature of both golf courses. Between the two of them, over 35 acres of water features come into play. The Palms Course is the slightly more challenging layout of the two, but both are accessible to players of all skill levels. The layout features well guarded greens, thick rough and towering palm trees bordering the holes. It has a memorable finishing stretch that starts with an island par-3 on the 17th and finishes with a tricky dogleg par 4 with water all along the left side.

Great place.
Have played here many times in the past and it is always a pleasure. Two Great courses and a great facility.
Course in good shape for the summertime
Good place to play in the summertime. Course is well maintained fairways, bunkers & greens
Great value
Greens were still a little bumpy from being punched but overall in good condition, especially for this time of year.
The course has great views , large fairways and greens.
The greens were fast but I guess normal for this time of year. They need to provide water and for the carts when its 105 and humidity is 40 . They do say they are a Resort Course so service should be same regardless of season.
Always great to play at JW. Greens are still healing from aeration but tee to greens was great- ESPECIALLY for the summertime.
Nice but ………
Course is beautiful but difficult. However, the pace of play and overall experience was affected by a nasty foursome in front of us. Ther were loud and discourteous and played numerous balls per person, greatly slowing the pace of play. And when one our shots came within 50 yards of them because of an unintended slice, instead of gracefully accepting our apologies, they intentionally hit our ball into the water.
Until we passed them by skipping two holes, we were stuck behind them and had to suffer through their antics.
Great course
Course was in great condition. Tee’d off at 6:30am on a Friday. No one in front or behind us. Wonderful experience!
Palms at Marriott
WE have played this course a few times and always happy to return. I love the layout, the course is in great shape, especially considering over 100 degree weather. I would recommend this course and we will play it again.
Not Enough Water
Course was in nice shape considering the hot weather. Greens were fair and in good shape and fairways were nice.
The biggest gripe was lack of water on the course. Playing in 40C weather and no water in the golf cart and WARM water in the water machines on the course. Not very good at all. The $16.00 caesar wrap at the snack shack was a bit extreme as well. Didn't really like the loud music and the guy yelling into the speakers at the hotel pool either but not sure what you can do about that. Starter and driving range guys were friendly. Glad I paid a low green fee or would have been more disappointed.
