Desert Springs Resort has a longstanding reputation as a luxury resort that offers something for everyone. There are two championship golf courses that sprawl across beautifully landscaped grounds covered with lush vegetation and sparkling lagoons, providing a scenic oasis amidst the desert surroundings. From nearly every hole at the resort, golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the Coachella Valley and Santa Rosa Mountains. Water is the most prominent feature of both golf courses. Between the two of them, over 35 acres of water features come into play. The Palms Course is the slightly more challenging layout of the two, but both are accessible to players of all skill levels. The layout features well guarded greens, thick rough and towering palm trees bordering the holes. It has a memorable finishing stretch that starts with an island par-3 on the 17th and finishes with a tricky dogleg par 4 with water all along the left side.

Staff customer service is poor!

I liked the course but struggled with blind shots from the middle of fairways...not fair!

The staff upon arrival were less than friendly! No communication on where to check in....no communication on the first tee...starter was less than friendly!

When we finished, the cart guy offered to take my bag to the bag drop...while I walked up the hill!! Customer service is poor...very poor!

There are better courses in the area.

I expected more especially for the money I paid.

Shame on your staff!!

good course for some people

scenery very beautiful. Just happens to not be my type of course...I tend to get a bit wild sometimes and having expensive dwellings nearby is not what I love...

with that said, if you are more accurate, the holes are fun and interesting, water features are gorgeous, and it is a really cool course. Take the buildings out and this one would be an auto-play for me

Great course!

Everything about the two Marriott courses is 5 star. The Palms gets most publicity’ but for me the Valley is the hidden gem, challenging with excellently laid out holes it’s a real challenge off the back tees so if your like me with a h/c in the teens try the black/blue combo!

Played this course for the second day in a row. Nice layout. Pace was a little slow today. But nice scenery makes it okay. Saw Pink flamingos in the lakes , pretty wild sight in the desert!
