About
Desert Springs Resort has a longstanding reputation as a luxury resort that offers something for everyone. There are two championship golf courses that sprawl across beautifully landscaped grounds covered with lush vegetation and sparkling lagoons, providing a scenic oasis amidst the desert surroundings. From nearly every hole at the resort, golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the Coachella Valley and Santa Rosa Mountains. Water is the most prominent feature of both golf courses. Between the two of them, over 35 acres of water features come into play. The Palms Course is the slightly more challenging layout of the two, but both are accessible to players of all skill levels. The layout features well guarded greens, thick rough and towering palm trees bordering the holes. It has a memorable finishing stretch that starts with an island par-3 on the 17th and finishes with a tricky dogleg par 4 with water all along the left side.

Hot day for golf
Didn’t find out there was a cooler with ice until I was done. Would have made a great day even better.

Great course. Played at PGA West most of the time and capped off at JW. Great way to end a vacation
Nice course
Nice course. No one greeted us upon our arrival. We loaded our clubs and drove to the starters station. We were told not a busy day so we left a little early. Front played in about 90 minutes Back was painfully slow That took about 2hours & 45 minutes. We were a threesome Not 1 ranger all day. Two groups in front of us were the cause..
Enjoyable but not cheap
Course in good condition but only an Ok value due to limited amenities. Had dinner after at Fishermans Market. Awful food. Flavorless. Weak drinks.
Challenging
Good practice facilities, and a tough layout.
Pick your tees carefully as there are many uphill shots to the pins, on greens very well guarded by bunkers....on many holes running the ball up to the green is near impossible. Greens and fairways in great condition..... The bunkers could use some new sand...and less watering.
A very enjoyable experience...
No ladies tees
There were no ladies tees, evidently they removed them a year ago. It was impossible for me to carry much off the tee. Lovely just not couple friendly.

Overall great experience. However, bunkers could use some better sand.
Amazing course!
Such a fun and challenging course! I would recommend the course and resort to anyone traveling to the Palm Desert area!
Disappointed
After meeting the starter who was great the day went south. We played the Palm course which was fine but we got stuck playing behind 4 golfers who were slow so we left the course after 16 holes. The ranger tried his best to encourage the group in front of us to move faster but they ruined our day. Stood over 18 inch putts, would hit bad shots then re-hit. On one particular hole we waited 12 minutes for them to leave the green. We totally get the resort golf pace of play but this round had we stayed would have been close to 6 hours. In addition, the bunkers were in tough shape as well as the tired tee boxes. Lesson learned Paul G
