Desert Springs Resort has a longstanding reputation as a luxury resort that offers something for everyone. There are two championship golf courses that sprawl across beautifully landscaped grounds covered with lush vegetation and sparkling lagoons, providing a scenic oasis amidst the desert surroundings. From nearly every hole at the resort, golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the Coachella Valley and Santa Rosa Mountains. Water is the most prominent feature of both golf courses. Between the two of them, over 35 acres of water features come into play. The Palms Course is the slightly more challenging layout of the two, but both are accessible to players of all skill levels. The layout features well guarded greens, thick rough and towering palm trees bordering the holes. It has a memorable finishing stretch that starts with an island par-3 on the 17th and finishes with a tricky dogleg par 4 with water all along the left side.

Played this course for the second day in a row. Nice layout. Pace was a little slow today. But nice scenery makes it okay. Saw Pink flamingos in the lakes , pretty wild sight in the desert!

Thi is a great course and a nice layout! Pretty wide open . Great scenery and the bird/ fowl variety is amazing. Everything from swans to pelicans and albatrosses. Liked well enough that I am playing it tomorrow!

The Palm course needs another set of tees for the higher handicapped golfer.....5400+ yds from the white tees with lots of bunkers and moguls makes it very difficult. definitely needs red tees at 5000 total yards or perhaps a bit lett.

Disappointing

Although I booked the game over a week ago, I arrived to be told that they had a shotgun tournament starting in an hour and 25 minutes. They tried to switch me over to their other course, but I had already played that one and was underwhelmed, so didn’t want to play it again.

When I got to the starter, he said that if I played this course, I’d have to be off the first nine before the tournament started or they would have to come out and pull me off, wherever I was.

As a result, I was so rushed, that I didn’t even get a chance to look at the surroundings for the first nine, let alone enjoy the game. In the end, the course wasn’t worth the price anyways. I won’t return to either.

I should’ve asked for my money back.

Desert Springs Palm

Very good course. I joined two other golfers, and pace of play was pretty good. Since we teed off at 2:32, we played first nine again because no one was on the front. We finished 18 in about 3 hours. Course was in good condition, but many players don’t fix their ball marks on greens.
