Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort

Both the palm and valley courses are fun layouts with great views, unfortunately, the last couple of years have seen a severe drop off in overall maintenance. Tee boxes are just beat up. Greens are shaggy, bumpy and inconsistent. Sand traps are either mud pits or have grass growing throughout, Fairways are probably the only saving grace. There are a lot of resort courses in the valley, you may want to give this one a little time to heal up.

I enjoyed myself, but the greens need to be in better shape to justify the cost.

The Golf course hospitality was very average.

The Golf course itself was in fair condition but many of the traps had grass growing in them. I do not find this acceptable for a Marriott property, especially as an owner

Dead spots on the course. Grass growing thru the bunkers. Should be in better shape, disappointing to say the least.

I have played this course several times before and really enjoyed it.

The staff was friendly enough. The course from T up to green was great. The greens however were something you might encounter on a $50 course. Having 2 types of grass with one obviously growing quicker, it was like putting on a gravel parking lot. (OK, a little harsh perhaps). They not rolling anywhere near true.

The course at JW is simply gorgeous. Stunning views. Challenging holes. Awesome amenities. We have nothing but good things to say about the course.
