Relaxing day at the course.
This course is not as good as the North course but still a great place to golf. The pace and price was great. The one thing I like about this course is that they would rather have good green fees so it makes for good business. People come back to play. Instead of the course being empty with no business they keep their fees down and attract more players. Yet the pace of play has always been exceptional. Thanks to all the staff.
Nice course for the price.
Nice course, not too difficult but there are a few challenging holes for the average golfer like me. I would recommend this course.
Enjoyed play pace was excellent able to begin as soon as we arrived
the par 4's were relatively long
It was nice to have par 3's that were of different length.
Staff was very helpful for first time player at the course.
Very enjoyable outing. Low key club and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely play the course again.
Nice course. A few challenging holes.
I found the course fairways in great condition. The greens had been sanded on a few holes but this did not detract from the quality of play. I like the course and I usually score well there. Will return for sure.
plays great but watch for hidden water
Plays quick played all 18 holes in 2hr. 45 minutes. Except for sandy greens course was well worth playing. I would reccomend this course as a do play !
Won't be confused as a US Open Course
OK for a municipal course. Not a lot of variety among holes -- too many look the same. Pace of play was very slow -- perhaps could be expected at a municipal course.
Great Course and Pratice Area
They reseeded in the last month and the greens and fairway and even the tee boxs are all in great condition.
The greens were in rough shape - many ball marks, 'spike' marks, tuffs of grass, etc. There was a lot of vegetqtion debris in the rough.
I purchased the tee time on GolfNow and played the course on the reduced rate. I would not have enjoyed the experience as much if I had paid the full amount. The course was packed in front of us and we had long waits on most of the tees.
love the blue tee's, not real long.
I like to play the north more then the south, but the south course is still a great course in Daytona. It has alot of fun holes. I also play with Debary mosse lodge guys, we play their at least once a month or twice. We been playing their for over four to five years. We also love the big man in the restaurant Glen, he has always taken care of all our need, no mater how busy they are. So thank you for the great times we have at daytona. Look forward to playing their again. Port Orange loco.
Not bad if the price is right.
Open fairways make this course forgiving. Most holes around 350. Straight shots. Fun but will not challenge better handicaps. Still it's easy on and off the course.
boring, wide open, horrible condition
We played the Blue tees and even from there, the course was not a challenge. It was like playing in a cow pasture because it was so wide open. The sand traps were hard and little sand, the greens were in poor shape and there was debris all over the course from recent winds. The course held water in the fairways and not too many dry spots to hit from. This was simply a boring course. It was flat and a lot of uneven fairways. The fairways were horribly bumpy and was like riding some sort of bucking bronco. The only good thing about this course was we finished playing in 4 hours and luckily there are two courses to play.
Slow round; SLOW ROUND!! waited at every shot while in a 3some.
The course is in very poor shape. Nearly all the golfers on the course this day were well below avg golfers, and hacking up the course. I didn't have a good time at all and will not play again regardless of the price. The greens were awful as well to add insult to injury.
public course
Very busy public course. Fairway's and rough in very good shape. Greens were a little rough. Some areas were over watered, but overall the course was in good shape.
Daytona South Course
Nice old golf course. The T-boxes and fairways were ok. The greens were rough much like most I've seen in the area this time of year. There are a few courses that have their greens in shape year round though!
good value for money
this course is good for both the beginner and experienced golfer. The course has two layouts and both are in good shape. The staff seems friendly and knowledgeable , and a decent restayrant for food and libation. the practce area includes driving range putting green and a chipping green. Plenty of parking and a convenient location
Nice Municipal Course
Classic Florida Muni Course. Not too long, generous fairways and small well bunkered greens.
wide open fairways- very forgiving public course
We usually get a really good aft. rate at this course on GN. The greens are not as fast as the North course, but are usually in fairly good shape. There are fewer hazards, and dog legs, and no OB on most of the holes, which makes for a less demanding (and accurate) round. You can also walk if you want to. Also has a nice chipping green and practice area.
