Pleasant challenge
The round was very pleasant. It was our first course we’d played in Florida and was very enjoyable. Just know to slow your pace and place your shots because holes are narrow and water was definitely challenging us not to lose our golf balls.

Greens were non existant
Cheap price for the teetime, however the greens were not in use and instead the fairways had makeshift greens. Every hole as a result was about 30 yards shorter than listed. Also pretty hard to practice putting on the fairway "greens" Tee boxes were also in rough shape.
Good Deal and Fun Course
The course continues to improve, and it is apparent that management will bring it back to what it was ten years ago, and maybe better.
Needs Work
I love the layout. There's some real challenging holes. The fairways and most tee boxes are in great shape! However, the greens are under repair and unusable. This at least shows the owners are attempting to fix the course condition. But this makes most bunkers obsolete as the temporary greens have been placed in front of the usual greens, and they're in terrible condition. Extremely bumpy with frail grass. On the plus side, there's very little traffic, so you really can play at your own pace. If you can play for under $25, then it's worth it. Otherwise, it's probably better to pay ~$35 and play at a course with actual greens. Also, THEY NEED WATER FOUNTAINS! Not a single one on the course or in the pro shop.
Disappointed. Lost ALL their greens !!
Looks like this has been a nice course in the past, and the possibility of being nice again. It needs more work on tee boxes, fairways and greens. Greens have been COMPLETELY DESTROYED by an apparent lack of irrigation and proper maintenance. Temporary greens have been placed in front of greens on the fairway, and have only been cut short and “sprayed green”. Really rough to putt on. Everyone should be aware this course is not up to par before booking. Hopefully they can get the original greens repaired and back in shape to earn back a good reputation.
Good course but needs upkeep
Played Pelican Bay 18 holes. All greens were being taken out for repair. Temporary greens were definitely not great and all yardage markers were to the real greens. We played because it was a bargain. We heard from the staff that new owners are planning to fix things in short order. Great news. Food layout with lots of water, bunkers and palm trees. Hope the get it back tobits former glory.
Getting better all the time
This was my fourth time playing Pelican Bay this year. The club’s new owners have been investing in improving the course conditions and improvements are definitely taking place. The fairways and tee off areas are in really good shape, but the regular greens are still 2-3 weeks from being available . Temporary greens are in place for the entire course as the regular greens are being reseeded. They appear to be coming along nicely and i give them a fe ore
Needs work
Every hole has temporary greens, fairway grass cut short, making putting challenging.
Hopefully they will renovate greens and make it playable again.
I will go back occasionally when I want to a play a quick round
Good Deal and Fun Course
The course is improving nicely, and I believe that the greens will come around steadily. It is a hard job to rejuvenate a unkept course, but they are trying to bring it back to its previous beauty. Good weather and a good staff will get it done.
Nostalgic for me
I learned to play on this course 44 years ago, so wanted to play for nostalgic reasons, Fairways where OK, but every green was burnt out and mostly dirt, but the were rolled and so the ball rolled true. Good for my nostalgic round, but you should wait for greens to be seeded a grow in.
My wife likes it!
Course is getting better, and I think they are doing a good job at improving the greens. For the price it is a good value and fun.
under construction
Greens have not been watered in 2 months as they are being redone. Difficult to putt on bumpy dirt.
The course is under new management and being restored. That's where there's 18 temporary greens. They were killed on purpose.
