The Club at Pelican Bay - North Course

Do not know what people are looking for or just complaining to complain, I found this course to be in great shape yes some tee boxes need a little work but you can not hold the course fully responsible for that. The fairways run true the greens are in great shape yes a couple have some areas that are being worked on but that's golf.

When I am back in the Daytona area I will be playing this course again.

Greens and fairways were fine, but other areas were quite weedy. It is an older course and the facilities have not been maintained in top condition. It clearly struggles financially. However, it was very playable, nice layout, the greens and collars well maintained. It just isn’t a course you want to play if you are looking for esthetics, but the good thing is that if you ignore the visual conditions of the buildings,

cart paths and rough, the golf itself is pretty good. It’s not a bad buy with greens fees under $40.

We really like this course and I hope to play on the ladies 18 hole league in the fall. Staff is super friendly and course conditions are far better than most of the public courses in the area. Great value for your money. Layout is awesome. Some repairs needed to restrooms on course but still highly recommended

Pelican bay golf course was a pleasant surprise. Nice course, excellent staff, and will play there again.

A little over a year ago my friends and I stopped playing there because of the conditions of the course.

Last week we decided to give them another try after reading some recent reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised!

We don't know how they got the course in the condition it's in, in such a short amount of time!

I had avoided playing this course for over two years because it was in such poor condition (worst in the county). But two friends had played it recently and reported that the course was in decent condition, so when a good "Hot Deal" was offered on GolfNow I felt it was time to check it out again.

Indeed, course maintenance has made some improvements, but there is still a long way to go. The fairways were in good condition, but all the areas beyond the fairways haven't seen much maintenance. Bushes and trees may not have been touched for months. There were way too many bare spots. Bunkers had been groomed but were sorely lacking in sand depth, some with barely a trace of sand. It's not fun bouncing a wedge on hardpan in the bunkers.

Greens have gone from absolutely atrocious to at least minimally acceptable. There are still too many bare spots.

OK, so is it a matter of insufficient budget for course maintenance and too few workers to do the job or inattention by the superintendant and work crew?

Course is challenging and fun. Water on both sides of nearly hole puts accuracy at a premium. Most fairways are wide enough for a slight miss, but banana slicers beware!

Course has seen better days but many in the area didn’t survive. Kudos to this track for staying alive. Some overseeding is evident. It will be interesting to see if the course agronomy continues to improve .

Infrastructure needs help! No restrooms or water on the course-a must in Florida! No rakes, though the traps were in good shape. Tiny greens roll pretty consistently and moderately paced. Cart paths kidney busters!

The course has potential needs some work my second time playing the course. Lot of patchy areas around throughout the fairways, their appears to be a problem many holes around the greens golfer playing with me ball roll into the hole. Tee boxes needs a lot of work management needs to step it up or the course will loose business. Clean up the course!!

I don't think they have any budget to maintain this course.
