Glen Abbey Golf Club
About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

Slower than slow
I was walking and caught the two groups in front. Oh and the third was just getting to their 1st shot. I left after 9 after paying 18 and did ask for a rain check lol
There are about 4 or 5 greens that NEED attention. Everything needs rain and fortunately we got a little on Monday.
Better than last time
I was skeptical about playing Glen Abbey again after my last time a couple of months ago. I was pleasantly surprised that the overall condition is a lot better. Fairways and greens are much better than some of the other courses in the Deland/Deltona/Debary area. Worth the money.
We need rain and so does the golf course. They are watering but hard to replace Mother Nature. The greens are much better than they were 2 months ago. I truly enjoyed my last round.
The greens are really getting much better. The fairways are looking better as well and have been cleaned up/out a lot. Definitely a fun and enjoyable day.
The greens are coming along nicely. There is a need for repeating "golf etiquette" to many of the players on this course - they don't seem to have any idea that there even is anything like that. The entire course is much better and will be even better if it would rain.
18 on a Saturday morning
Had a great time. The course would benefit from some rain and a lil tlc...fun layout and challenging holes. Back 9 offers tremendous views. Greens are starting to come back but made rolling the rock a bit challenging...
Like it better than going to driving range
Fairways and greens in need of major work. Lots of bald spots in fairways and lots of those star shaped "weeds" on the greens. When putting the ball can bounce along anywhere. It's a nice layout and the staff is very friendly. 18 holes for $18 around 3pm is a good practice day.
