The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.

The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

Good layout; terrible condition

This must have been a great course to play 10 years ago. Believe it was then that they fired all the grounds crew. Maintenance appeared non existent. If conditions continue this course will not be in business next year. Sad

Stop overbooking

Had to walk away 20 min after my tee time, when there were three groups of 5 still waiting ahead of me. The staff joked that I’d be lucky to finish 9 in 4 hours.

This course needs help

I have played this course in the past and have been pleased with the overall layout and course conditions. Today, many of the holes were not in the best condition, cart paths were rough and/or broken, and cart seats were torn and the seat foam was hanging loose. Needs more TLC.
