Glen Abbey Golf Club
About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

Eh.
Greens were for the most part a wreck. Most had to be groomed a lot better. Ball should roll not bounce to the cup. Tees were just okay and some Fairways needed better or more markers. No course logo ball for collectors to buy. Bad 4some with mouths too.
Good for practice
This would be a good place to practice. The course is in OK condition, but the greens are weak. There was some golf league playing ahead of me, so I quit after nine holes due to pace of play.
Greens are really sparce and hard to read for me. Traps are full of grass and not raked. Loved the layout. Just needs some TLC...
The greens are atrocious! They were getting so good and now they are bald with little islands of grass/weeds. It
may be the weather or time of year but other gold courses are in much better shape.
enjoyed the course
The course is in much better shape than a few years ago.
Greens are fast.
We enjoyed playing and the condition of the course is okay , similar like most courses in the area.
We'll be back!
I hooked up with some gentlemen from the area. We had a blast and coming back next week. Fairways were rough, but the greens were very fast.....

Best bang for your buck
You don’t need $50 courses to have fun, the greens are decent, fairways are getting better and the course has it’s challenges.
