About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

The greens are much improved and if there was just a little mor rain I think the course would be very good. Not
overcrowded so pace was whatever suited you.

Great Place & Great People
From start to finish, Glen Abbey has a great course, atmosphere and staff. I live 10 minutes away from a course advertised on Golfnow but I prefer to play Glenn Abbey, which is 25 minutes further. away. I do this because their rates are fair, the owner/ staff are good to me and my friend I can play 18 holes in a very reasonable amount of time. Thank You Glen Abbey, I will be back again!
Played worse but for a lot less money
Greens way too many weeds golf course split up too far away the gold were way too far from whites tea boxes and did not enjoy playing the course
poorly kept course
horrible fairways greens etc. even thought the aireated the greens were burnt fridge was full of weeds. fairways if you want to call them.that had so many bare spots. staff was freindly but pro ably the worst course i ever played on in 50 yrs
The course is getting better and it has to get better.
The greens are starting to have more grass on them but the fairways still lack grass in too many places. All of the staff are very friendly and make playing there that much more enjoyable.
Play was slow really needs a ranger out there to pave people I played on Mother’s Day as a twosome and there was a foursome in front that had a beginner golfer and 3 others who had no golf etiquette at all I left after only playing 12 holes was a disappointing Mother’s Day for me
The course is improving. There is still much work to be done but the greens and fairways are both getting better.
Playing here is convenient for me as I live in the area and have grown to be fond of the layout as well as many of the employees. I can usually get a tee time with no difficulty and the price is right for me. You have to come and play it to realize how good a course it is.
Bare spots on fairways all over, greens very fast from lack of any grass.
I would not recommend this course.

fairways were in terrible shape----very disappointing----greens had some areas of major discoloration however-----the crew had them mowed low and appeared to have been rolled and putted very fast and consistent which makes for a good day----love the layout ---hope that the tee to green circumstance can be improved
