Glen Abbey Golf Club
About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

Price is right
This place is getting better since last time a play., the price is lovely since the rest around town are crazy price $$$$ ., if you want to play and practice @ a good price this is the right place ., staff real friendly
Really enjoyed this course
The people were great and the back nine, in particular, had a great layout and was very appealing. Pace of play was great. We will play here again.
Very nice course
We had a good time playing Glen Abbey. There were no players in front of us so, as a twosome, we had a pleasant time of it. I like the area, having been to parks and other courses there. The back, in particular, was very pretty and the layout interesting. it was a good value. We will play there again.
You get what you pay for
From the tee boxes to the greens it is obvious that not too much attention and resources are spent on course maintenance. Fairways unclear and full of bare ground, sand and weeds. Overall an OK round.
Great place to work on your game
The course is not in the best of shape at the moment, but it is getting better. Great value for the money, and a perfect place to work on your game. Staff is awesome. Will play here again.
Very windy day made playing a little bit more challenging. The course is looking better but still have the problem at landing area on #2 and the green on #15 & #16. The area immediately around most of the greens has been trimmed up and that helped.
Great value. Friendly folks.
Nice track fairly open front nine. Tighter with more water on back nine. Some greens have a few dead spots. Overall average maintenance but a good round at a good price. The staff is very friendly and service is very good.
Glenn Abbey
A lot of standing water. Greens need some attention along with rough areas Overall playable for 22 dollars better than Victoria Hills
Most of the greens are better than they have been. #15 green is still in need of help and the fairway on #2 is still a soggy mess so the tees have been moved up. Sunday seems to be the day that all of the beginners come out to practice and as a result play is very slow. Many of the golfers either need to learn or need a reminder about "Golf Etiquette". Someone playing today was wearing spikes and tore up the greens particularly close to the holes. A real shame.
Apparently a lot of golfers have no idea about golf etiquette or just simply being polite and considerate.
I played with a partner today and followed a foursome around and it took over 4 hours to play 18. We were behind 2 other twosomes and NOBODY got past the foursome and when we finally caught up to them it was a fivesome. Maybe something can be said as people check in and get their key to the carts about being polite.
Asking too much? Don't think so. This is not the first time
we have been "stuck behind" slow playing groups.
The greens have always been a concern to me. They are getting better but there is still room for improvement. The water problem still exists. Holes 2, 9 & 18 stand out in my mind as problem with water holes in the fairways.
Hole #12 is the area surrounding the green that has a problem with water. The holes are payable you just need to be aware of the problem. The tee boxes need more attention - need to have more grass on them. All in all, we still had a fun day out on the golf course.
