Glen Abbey Golf Club
About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

We had a wonderful day
Played with 2 friends and really enjoyed ourselves. The course is almost completely dried out. The greens are getting better. Everything is going in the right direction.
Can't wait to play again later this week.
What a Day!
The weather was beautiful - sunny, few clouds, a little wind - - didn't have to wait on slow players ahead of us and were not being "pushed" by players behind us. The work Ryan has been doing whipping this course back into shape is really showing. A very enjoyable day and round of golf. If you haven't been here - you need to try it out.
Greens had disease
Couldnt hole out. Automatic 2 putt. Ball bounced off line. Greens are horrible. Confronted staff about the issue became defensive and gave excuses and alibis. Course will go out of business sometime this year for good.
First Time
greens poor. Paths poor. Grass spotty. For the price a nice practice round
Diseased greens
Couldnt even putt out on the greens due to patches of crab grass or disease? Horrible value. Workers know it act defensive about conditions. No point in wasting your money. Place will permanently close soon. I would say 3 months.
Glen Abbey -Florida
I thought I would play this course that has the same name as the iconic home of the Canadian Open in Oakville,Ontario, which I have also played years ago for probable $200 CDN.
It was okay to fill in time before an appt I had in the area today, but I have crossed this one off my "return to play list".
Course needs work.
The course is in poor condition and not being cared for. There was a fully decayed dead possum carcass laying beside the green by the car path on the front nine. It was very apparent that no staff had been by the green in at least a month.
The weather warmed up nicely and the sun was out so all in all it was a beautiful day. The course is coming around. The greens are the biggest problem now. They are definitely making every effort to improve them but Mother Nature does things at her own speed and it's hard to rush her. It is a very enjoyable round of golf at a very reasonable price. Ryan is still there working very hard at getting it up to snuff.
Mark this on off the list.
Had a good day with my brother. But all previous reviews I've read are spot on.
It appears from a distance to be a nice course. But once your on the course all expectations are dashed.
Fairways are like a cow pasture. There were a few decent fairway approaches but that was about it.. mole holes/ trails.. tee boxes were basically nicely mowed rectangles..
Now the greens..... inconsistent patchy, don't count on your ball rolling the line you putt.. a 3 at best out of 10.
But last of all the cart patches SUCK!
