Glen Abbey Golf Club
About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

Will try again later
The good: friendly staff, interesting holes (especially on the back 9) and good prices.
The bad: course conditions
Its a shame the poor conditions of the course took away from what could have been a nice place. Dried out greens, fairways and tee boxes spoiled some very interesting holes.
Hopefully when things are back to normal I can try here again..
Don’t do it
First time playing here and probably my last unless they can turn this place around. Fairways are non existent and the greens are in really bad shape. I understand Sunday afternoons are going to be busy but pace of play was horrible as well. 5 1/2 hour round with multiple tee boxes sitting 3 groups deep to tee off.
I like it
Decent! Challenging for sure. The fairways aren't the most beautiful by any means, but I like the course a lot. Greens not perfect. The course offers a good test of your skills, the staff is awesome.
Fun round
Arrived to the course and staff greeted me with a friendly smile and wished me a good round. They are allowing you to ride single in each cart to keep the social distancing. The course itself is in good shape the greens have some work to be done but the staff is working diligently on getting them back and shape. The pace of play was great, and the value was great on GolfNow. I recommend this course and will play it often
Greens are in bad shape
The course can be challenging, especially from the blue tees. Layout is interesting and varied. Unfortunately, the course conditions were quite poor, especially the greens.
Ehhhh
I have played this course a number of times. Back when it was great, then when it was pretty much a cow pasture, and recently. I can see that some effort has been put into it but it’s not quit there. About half of the fairways are decent, the bad one are very bad, greens are full of crab grass making putts bounce way too much, and bunkers, well the sand is ok, not packed and rock hard but not edged and defined well. If your a beginner or weekend hacker, go enjoy. But if your looking to play a good round, you’ll be frustrated all day due to course conditions. I wish someone would bring it back to its glory days because it is a nice layout.
Great round
The staff was friendly when we checked in and the course was in good shape. The greens are in decent shape. The course layout makes you think about your shots. I’ll be back to play again.
Can’t complain
$20 at 730a on a Sunday? Greens a little bumpy and pace just a bit slow but great deal.
Great condition
Greens are in good shape and the fairways were as well. Played a hot deal at 7:28 for $17 can’t beat the value for the money
Good round
Play the early in the morning on a hot deal as a single, staff was very friendly and the course was in very good shape. Ran into some foursomes , but they let me play through and had a good round. Fairways are in good shape, bunkers played well and greens have very little spots on them but overall good shape and they rolled nicely.
a great saturday afternoon on the course.
great pace of play, friendly staff, friendly fellow golfers.
A great morning out
These were the best conditions I have ever seen this course in. It has been quite rough at times in the past, but we were pleasantly surprised today. It is clear that they have put some hard work into revitalizing it. It is important to compare Glen Abbey only to other courses in its range. It is a relaxed budget friendly golf course. As such, it excels compared to its competition. Finally, the most attractive feature is the varied and interesting course layout. Great outing given that we paid $20 per.
