Glen Abbey Golf Club

About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

Great Value , Nice Layout, Okay course
First the cons. The course needs maintenance. A lot of dry patches on the fairway and greens are annoying BUT I play it as winter rules (In Florida) and move the ball to a good area same distance. If you can look past that then you will enjoy your round.
The staff is great and the prices in the shop are good.
The course is very enjoyable. You'll get some challenging awkward shots. The greens are not very tricky but provide some challenge. All of this for 18 bucks twilight & not much more during morning tee times is a great value. Highly recommend.
Worst Course In central Florida
Place is a cow pasture tee boxes are sand, fairways are sand, greens are patchy play anywhere but here.
Nice staff
Course needs some help at spots, Especially hole 2. But overall nice course. Only big complaint, the golf carts are bad. My cart kept shutting off and brakes were nonexistent.
