Lovely course.
Excellent course had a great day. Everyone is welcoming. The views are spectacular. Many interesting holes challenging without being daunting. Some of the tee positions are a bit odd having to drive over the last green or accross in front of another tee ! It's ok if the course is not busy. But would be confusing if the course was busy. Other than that it was top quality. I would definatly play again.
Staff at Carmarthen fantastic
My wife and i were due to play on 16/10/2017. When we arrived hurricane Ophelia was in full cry. We were prepared to play but the staff suggested we come back the next day and play at no extra cost. The next day was very pleasant and we had a lovely round at a highly recommended golf course.
A Gem of a course
The course is long and I used my Driver on nearly every hole. Fairly forgiving fairways as a lot of holes are side by side. The course wasn't busy so pace of play was excellent. A couple of tees are not intuitive but are well signed. The course is easy to find, pop postcode in sat nav and it takes you straight to it. There are some quite narrow lanes to drive down and it is a little way from the town but well worth it Next time I am in the area I will be sure to book a round here
Lovely parkland course
Played midweek in lovely weather. The course played very well, fairways were firm and well kept. Greens were in good condition though I found them difficult to read and varying in pace (maybe a different grass than I'm used to?) Some difficult holes with big cambers on some fairways. Lots of tees criss crossing though not a problem. My only criticism is the tee boxes could do with some work, surfaces a bit uneven. Very good overall and I'd recommend playing there.
Good day out
Course in good condition however the greens were a lot slower than the last time I played Carmarthen which suited an occasional golfer like myself however my son prefers a quicker green! Tough luck on him cos I beat him!!
Excellent course, spoilt by the weather
It had been raining for three days prior to our visit. The course was very wet and on temporary tees and greens. The course manager gave us a warm welcome, explained the course layout and even offered us two vouchers, because of the conditions to revisit in the summer. We actually played the whole 18 holes and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent welcome and friendly members.

A lovely well kept course challenging on many holes good friendly staff that were very helpful. Would play again and recommend to friends.
