A must play!

My wife and I holiday down here regularly, and we always pay a visit to this course. A well laid out, well kept course with plenty of challenges. Rewards accuracy, particularly off the tee. Watch out for the scary water on the 18th!

There is a great restuarant and bar on site, a very spa, and good practice facilities. A good day's golf.

Excellent course great facilities

Wow. What a course. When the wind gets up this is a very challenging course especially if you play off the Nicklaus tees. Lots of water and plenty of stunning landscape. Greens were impeccable true and fast. The whole course was very well manicured. My father and I had a great day out here.

Lacking in finishing touches

Course in good condition, disappointed in course management, difficult to know where you are going, course directions practically non existent, tee box information poor, had to be standing on the tee looking down at the disc to see it. Not a single bin nor ball cleaner. Strange for a course of this reputation and standing, would make it so much better.

Deceptively challenging, excellent facilities

A deceptively challenging links style course with severe run offs if you miss the greens. Lovely location and a nice feel to the course.

Great facilities with a driving range, extensive chipping area, spa facilities, excellent restaurant.

Great course, tough challenge from the Yellow tees

Great course, starter in the pro shop was great and lent my playing partner a pair of shoes as he'd forgotten his. Tough challenge from the yellow tees and the course was in great condition considering its Boxing Day. Great day out and will be back in the summer

Great Course

We visited Machynys from Norfolk. Booking was very easy, but were a bit surprised we had to pay on booking. The staff in the pro shop were extremely helpful. Especially Dylan. The course was wet as they had had a lot of rain, and on the day we were hailed upon. This did not detract from the course. The only thing I would say is that people should repair their divots, it is a pet hate of mine that the clod of earth may only be two inches from the divot and people are too lazy to repair. Green keepers must be extremely busy repairing these. Why not make people carry sand bags this may encourage a repair. The bottled water and crisp price is a bit over the top. Lovely location to have a drink though. We will visit again at the first opportunity.
