I love royce
This course is a real treat. Nice layout with a lot of room for misses. Great condition
The sand traps are in very poor shape on the entire east course. They have weeds. They are not edged. They just don’t look good. That’s the only negative thing I can say about the course. Everything else about the course is 1st rate.
Great course
Grass, fairways, and tee boxes are well kept. Greens are amazing. Bunkers need sand!! It’s the only course condition that isn’t excellent. Pace was slow but it was a weekend - it wasn’t unreasonable for most of the day.
Shout out
I don’t really want to go into detail, but one of the staff members, Jordan, went above and beyond to assist us. The details might unnecessarily detract from the rating of the course. But Jordan did an excellent job of making sure our round was enjoyable.
Poor shape for the money
Far too much money to play this course. Bunkers and tee boxes in horrendous shape. First time playing this course…not worth it. A nice layout, but very poor conditions.
Very disappointed
This is not a review I enjoy writing but it needs to be addressed. My wife and I had a great round of golf and went to have drinks afterwards. The bartender, Danielle, served us and asked us if we were paying by cash or credit card so we settled the bill.
There was a golf outing that was there at the same time, with many individuals coming up to the bar to order drinks. Danielle asked each one of them if they were “part of the outing”. After several times this occurred I finally asked her what that was about and she said that it was because there was a different tab for that.
That’s when I realized…she didn’t ask us because we were a minority couple while the outing were all white males. This is very upsetting to me since it appears that Danielle has an unconscious bias. We saw discrimination happen where it should not have; I should not that a non-white individual came up to order 5 drinks, and she did not ask him if he was part of the outing either.
We will not be returning to Royce Brook, they just lost our business. Learn how to treat everyone with equality.
Nice Course
Had good time playing Course. Greens were in good shape. Staff were very friendly before after I took a header my fault.Will go back to play.
