Golfer Reviews
Great golfing experience
I recommend Morgan Creek. The course plays well, and the setting is beautiful. The course is well kept and the staff are excellent. I live close by and will play here regularly.
Stifled by a Placer politico
This complaint is directed at both Morgan but the entire county of Placer. Maybe at your site as well. Morgan was only course In ROSEVILLE still open thru this time of sheltering. Dr Dogood gets on tv and says golf courses are a hotbed of the pandemic thus Morgan surrenders and folds their tent.
Funny-The Morton’s are still open at Haggin-Mather open and Ancil as well. 50 bucks. No discounts It’s like 1975 all over again when we use to drive to Dry Creek cause all the city courses were flooded with a crowd willing to put up with lining up at 4am to get in the singles list.
Tom LoPresti must be smiling ear to ear.
Thanks for the rant.

Keeps going now hill
The condition of the course continues to go down. Greens are so so, traps are not good. Pace of play was ok but again it seems like Morgan Creek and other courses in the area are more concerned ab out the $$$ and not the conditions.
Goat Track
First of all, the price gouging is ridiculous. Without the epidemic, it wouldn’t be the way it is out there. Two weeks ago they punched the greens and there was no discount on GolfNow, or an aeration notification. I thought the greens would have heals a bit, so I went back on the 1st. The greens had been verti-cut without being rolled, it was like playing plank-O. The staff was in no way looking to give discounts for walking instead of riding. They charged me 52$ to walk that got track and didn’t bat an eye. Typically that round would be 35$ with a cart. Beware, gold demand is high, and courses like these are looking to take advantage.
Lovely link course
Overall layout is good
Challenging putting green
corona virus precautions
course is doing an excellent job of protecting golfers their distancing precautions, 1 person per cart, 1 person in golf shop, attention to tee time schedule. course in excellent condition with greens just being aerated and sanded but in excellent playing condition. hope to play more often during these difficult times.
Corona virus rules in force.
The course was in good condition, the staff were super friendly.
The only issue was that the spacing between start times wasn’t working because the course ran out of carts (1cart per person rule in effect) and tee times were being pushed back, waiting on carts to be returned by the morning golfers.
Maybe the afternoon tee times could be spaced a bit further apart - this could alleviate this particular issue.
Morgan Creek
Hadn’t played this course in a long time. Very appreciative in these days of course being open and practicing safe health procedures as well. Fairways were the only disappointing facet of the course as clumps of grass abundant, and hard to have a decent lie.
They're open, but get there early...
Course was in pretty good condition with the recent rain. Check in was slow due to one person allowed in the pro shop at a time, but the bar was open for beers and bloodys to go. Staff was busy yet very helpful getting everyone on. Get there at least 30-40 minutes early to check in, it takes a while
GreAt day of golf
Played the course today. Each of us were allowed to take our own cart. I noticed that they were sanitizing every cart before delivery. Only one person in the pro shop at a time. No food service. We were thankful that we were able to play considering the lock down that is going on. The staff at the course seem committed to make the round as safe as possible.
Good layout
Overall the. course is in pretty good shape. The greens are still recovering from being punched. The. course was fun to play. Look forward to playing it again.
Punch
I love the course and very well maintained. However, I wish Golf Now had informed me that the greens were recently punched. My friend came here from out of town and was anxious to have him experience this course....The thrill was gone. Wish somebody had informed me of this before I booked it. Thank you!
Greens punched
There should be some sort of notification when the greens have been punched. Never good when you show up to a course and notice punched greens without notification.
