Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Unbelievable, they airrated again. It's like once a month. Course needs to hire some workers. Grass 2 feet deep on every hole, trees down. Over priced by 15 bucks. Not worth it. Go play somewhere else.
Needs some TLC
Always enjoy this course, great track and challenging. Does need some work tho as fairways a re a bit "sparse" and greens had been 'punched'. Hope conditions improve soon!
Back 9 Was Closed.....
.. so the front 9 was crowded. At least it was until 1:00 PM when the afternoon heat set in.
No warning on GolfNow that Deltona was closing the back 9 on 7/7/25 and the front 9 on 7/8/25 for aerification.
This course has always been a bit rough around the edges, which I think is intentional. The front nine greens were in pretty good shape. Nothing more to say. Will play again in the future.
Don't go spend your money elsewhere
People were nice, place was not well kept. Course was the worst I have ever played on. Just not taken care of. If People were not there it would look abandoned. The parking lot was bad too. I like to give the benefit of the doubt and golf now showed a 4 star rating. Don't know if I would give it a 1 but I had to. People were pleasant that was a plus.
Driving range closed
Hazard areas overgrown with weeds
Other than losing balls less than 10 yards off the fairway due to summer weed growth outside the fairway making balls nearly invisible, it was a very nice course!
Yes there are some rough spots but...
The greens are good, the fairways are ok. Just treat the occasional bare spots as ground under repair and you're good. Yes the weeds in the rough are problematic but you shouldn't be there in the first place - just kidding.
Overall, great layout, average conditions - greens are fine for the price. I'd play it again. In fact, I read some the the reviews and stayed away because of the negative comments.
Those comments were ok but they should not keep you away. The course costs are fair for the conditions.
Son of a Beach!!
This course offers a wide range of challenges and if it was in better shape, would be a delight. The layout is great. The lies vary with the topography, which is rare in Florida. That said, the overabundance of sandy waste areas and their care is disappointing. Range is a mess and not even open when we were there. No bag covers on the cart, so you’re screwed if/when it rains IN FLORIDA. Overall, it was a fair test. Conditions weren’t great. Facilities are lacking. Pace of play was good, cause nobody was there. Needs help…if it gets it, I’d try again for sure.
Pretty horrible
There driving range was closed and I had no idea till I showed up. The course was really bad The greens were bumpy and slow and the fairways were very sandy they need to over seed and the rough was extremely tall looked like they haven’t cut it in a long time I almost lost a ball 10 yards from the green and I’m pretty sure they book to many tee times everytime I go to Deltona I have to wait on every shot.
Deltona
The staff is super friendly from the time you pull into the parking lot. The course is challenging with some elevation changes that I enjoy. The course was not in as good a shape as other times I have played there it was a little bit disappointing in that area with crabgrass on the side of the greens and an a fairway, lots of grass in the sand bunkers, I believe they have the equipment hopefully I could get the staff and get things heading in the right direction again. The pace of play was very slow but that was basically one group. I definitely like this place and will be back. If you're in Florida it's definitely a place to go to, there's not too many places with elevation changes like this that I know of.
Nice Challenge
A good layout with challenges, liked the different elevations with tees and greens. The course needs some TLC: weeds in the bunkers, unevenly mown fairways, bare spots and scraggly rough. Although the greens were in good shape considering not a lot of rain recently. Decent course for the price paid $39
Nice challenge
The course had several rough spots and the bunkers had a lot of weeds. Greens were in pretty good shape considering not a lot of rain the past few months. Liked the different elevated tee boxes and greens made for a nice challenge. Course could be very nice with a some TLC but considering all it was a decent value.
Challenging
The course was well laid out and there were some nice challenging holes. The greens were well maintained. I’ll definitely playing it again next time I’m in town.
