About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Golfer Reviews
Nice course
Love the course and the staff. Only issue I had was on hole 4 or 5. Didn’t know which way to go. I also failed to look at the score card, which has the course layout. definitely going back. Thank you for your outstanding service!!
Pleasantly surprised
After reading all the not so great recent reviews, I went to the course with very low expectations. That was not the case. The course was green, tee boxes were fine and the greens were very good. Most likely due to all the rain recently.
Getting a lot better
Course is in great condition considering 3 months ago was terrible. Still a few bare spots in the fairways but greens are really nice right now
Not worth it.
There is no version of reality in which this course is worth $32, much less $18 for 18 holes. While I do think the layout is interesting with lots of elevation changes, the fairways are sun burned and the greens super hard and patchy.
Atrocious
Absolutely horrible conditions. Velcro green that have the texture of sand in the surf. Pin locations surrounded by sand and rough that stands 2 feet tall. The course looks so bad that you get lost trying to find the next hole. No ball wash stations or even hole number and distance markers. Almost all sand traps have bushes growing in them. Joke at $54. Will never return
consistent
the effort to keep the course shows. greens better all the time.
Rugged, Challenging Track
I've played Deltona four times now, and I keep going back because of the challenge. Lots of sand (typical for most Florida courses), and lots of elevation changes (atypical for Florida courses). This course has a "rugged" look and feel -- probably by design. Hit it out of the fairway, and you will likely have a bad lie.
The only negative comment I have pertains to the Bermuda greens. They are firm, somewhat fast, but very bumpy. It is difficult to hole a putt of any length.
Course not in great shape
I have played this course many times, it is in town i live. This was probably the worst i seen it. The tee box and fairways are okay. But dont hit it in rough, grass not cut. Have prickly all over and sand trap are in horrible shape. The greens were getting work on, but some the greens were in bad shape. I hope they get this course in better shape. Nice staff and like course close to home.
