About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Golfer Reviews
Fading slowly
Pace of play was great. Nobody was out here. This is not the Deltona of old. Tee boxes and greens were playable. They are letting the fairway bunkers grass over and the fairways need some TLC. Great layout. Meh shape but for 47 it was fine.
Fun course
Nice layout with a variety of holes and elevation changes. A real hidden gem. Greens 7/10, fairways, tee boxes 8/10, green side sand traps 5/10 (no rakes and some lacking true sand)
Despite playing on a Saturday morning pace of play was good.
Would have liked to see the clubhouse snack bar open later, I think it closes at 2.
I will definitely be back and recommend Deltona to others.
A Good Test of Shotmaking
Pick the right clubs and you'll have success. Changes in elevation make this course interesting. I just don't know why there are no bunker rakes. Every sand trap is treated as a waste area?!? Let's put rakes on the carts at a minimum. Still enjoyed the round.
Fun Challenge
With a 44 foot drop on a par 3, there are a holes that make this course interesting. Just can't get over the lack of any bunker rakes. After coming out of a few today, I couldn't rake my footsteps. I feel bad for the next unfortunate one that might ruin a great round being stuck in my sand divot. How about rakes on the cart at least?
Needs some TLC
I haven't been out here for a few years. It is a fun layout, but like so many courses in the area needs some love. Greens used to be the best feature, now they're meh. Shaggier than I remember.
Pace of play was awful. Threesome had two holes ahead of them and were human cholesterol on the course. Called the clubhouse, nothing was done. Jumped them at the turn...got three holes in before hitting another bottleneck. Lots of "clangers" out here (no headcover type golfers)... I bet you can get a quick round in during the week.
Just OK
The rates went up, but the course condition did not. The course is just OK. It is a nice layout,… But the overall conditions of the course could be better. The greens are not bad but a little inconsistent and in need of a little TLC. The fairways are OK in most places. Some of the bunkers have weeds growing in them. I will still play here once in a while. But not as much since the rates went up.
Really good course on high ground in Deltona.
Great course. My Brother-in-law and I teed off with no one in front of us and no one caught us from behind. Twosome finished in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Greens were in good shape, fairways in pretty good shape, and some traps around the greens are in good shape and others near the fairways are too large to keep the weeds out. Mixture of long holes with short distance holes. Several unique hole layout designs..
