The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Three hour round

The tea boxes are OK the fairways could use some work just like most courses around here, the greens are in very good condition. We play here quite a bit in the staff are very friendly and they acknowledge you like they’re happy to have you there.

Florida course with hills

Unique in central Florida, no water and hills. Fun design, just stay out of the sand. Staff is fantastic. Range tee boxes are sand, so it is difficult to dial in the irons. Will definitely play again.

OK Course

The greens are pretty good for the most part. Would be better if people would fix their marks. The fairways are looking a little better but still need a lot of grass to grow. The course layout is one of the best things about Deltona. The rolling to rain makes for an interesting round. They really should give more attention to details around the golf course. A lot of weeds and some pretty rough terrain that could cause a kidney to pop out. OK course for a local small town.

Great layout, but……………

This is one of the best layouts in central Florida. Sloping fairways, large waste bunkers, undulating enormous greens make for a good test. Let’s start with the goods: greens were in excellent condition, pace of play was (4hours on a Sunday morning) and the staff is very friendly. The bads: tee boxes are a little rough, the fairways are washed out and there are lots of weeds. Saturday produced heavy rain so I’ll give the bunkers a pass but they all needed a good raking. The layout and price make deltona worth playing, perhaps the rain and spring season will revitalize the tees and fairways.

Yikes

Weeds all over the tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers. Not to mention it was over 2.5 hours to get through 7 holes. I decided to just leave since it didn’t seem like it was getting any better. No starter or ranger monitoring pace of play and I guess no landscapers either.

Beatup but layout is beautiful!

Course layout is the star of the show! Fairways are barren, lots of dirt spots, yet traps have pretty and soft sand. The actual layout is challenging and pretty to the eyes. No ranger to promote and enforce pace of play. Decent practice areas, simple clubhouse. Might play again in hopes terrain heals.

Decent course

I enjoyed the round, more so for the group I was playing with rather than the condition of the course.

The tee boxes were generally poor with many bare spots and the front nine especially, the fairways were full of weeds and uneven..

The greens were fairly good and true .

The staff were friendly and got us out timely and the pace of play was good.

The back nine was in much better condition with the grass more lush and plentiful.

Reasonable value for the round which of course is typically more expensive in Florida.

The greens are looking better. They were running at a decent speed and looked pretty good. The fairway is bare in a lot of spots, but looking a little better after the rain. Would be nice to see a little better job done on maintenance of the fairways and T boxes. Overall an average golf course. Probably closer to a 3 1/2 star than a four star. The staff is always very nice. Decent price after 2pm.
