The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

OK course with plenty of sand

This course was OK. The course conditions were good, including the greens. Sand everywhere and not much water. The woman at check-in was a little arrogant and condescending.

Fairways are barren…

Are used to play Deltona Hills regularly but haven’t been there in a while. I was disappointed at the conditions of the fairways and tea boxes which were pretty much barren of grass. No rakes on the carts and none around the sand traps. The layout is great with a lot of elevation changes and the greens were decent but I won’t be back anytime soon.

What a Disappointment!!

I use to play this Course in the 90s when it was a private club and my parents were members!! It was so beautiful then with beautiful ponds and a fountain. Now it is nothing but sand traps , no water and minimal if any grass!! I decided to play this course for nostalgia reasons and did not recognize anything!! What a disappointment. I read that the beautiful clubhouse was torched by some stupid angry ex- employee. He should be hung!! The staff was super friendly - which was the only positive point to the day.

Course review

More sand than I've ever seen before! Most doesn't come into play but makes for a very scenic landscape. Tee boxes and greens were in very good shape. The fairways needed watering , but there is no water source, ei ponds, on his course.

Having said that, I think the dry conditions ever my scoring.

This course represents the city, terrible. Awful fairways okay greens. Everyone’s first time playing golf here apparently. I’d rather recommend wiping your behind for 5 and a half hours then to play here
