Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

A nice Saturday round.
Great time with friends out at Deltona. It’s not like the other courses around. It has some undulation and some elevated tee boxes. Course conditions were good. Back 9 in better condition than the front 9 in my opinion. Greens roll well but on the slower side. Tee boxes were good. Sand traps were good. Fairways are thin in spots, likely due to the cold we have had recently. Quaint mom and pop feel to the clubhouse. Driving range and chipping and putting areas available. Overall, for $50 teeing off in the AM it’s worth it even just for its layout. I will be going back for sure. I hope you do give the course a try because it’s a good one.
Nice course
Overall layout was pretty sweet. Lots of elevation changes with narrow fairways. Fairways we’re not to great and the greens had thick grain so tough reads but hey it’s golf but definitely going to play again sometime soon.
Deltona golf
Good course but slow play. 4 some played slow and would not let us thru. When we finished there were 4 groups on#18. 1 on the green, 1 in the fairway and 2 on the tee. Worse yet there was a course employee in the slow group!!!
Horrible condition
Fairways brown no grass tees and green require updates immediately
Great layout
Was 33 degrees at our 830 am tee time.Half hour frost delay.Very good layout but fairways real thin .Greens good.Weather has been cool and rainy so im sure related to conditions.Still price good and layout good will return in month and i'm sure fairways will be better.Staff friendly.
Great layout but conditions lacked
First time playing this course. The Course has a challenging and beautifully creative layout. There are a nice variety of tee boxes that offer all levels of players an enjoyable round opportunity. I’ve never seen so many bunkers much less of the sixes I saw here in my 50 years of playing. The conditions are sadly it’s big disappointment. If the resources were invested into this course it could be stunning and challenging. The staff were sparse but friendly and kind. They charge fairly and I would overall recommend the course for the layout alone.
will return
The track is a good one it has its moments of ah sh_ _ _ but all and all I had fun. A lot of sand but then again NO water. The greens are big and wide and I have played when the speed was above a 10. All in all I like this track and will play again.
The tee boxes and fairways where in poor condition.
Long Day
SLOW PLAY! 5:30 round made for an excruciatingly long day. Course is in poor condition. Fairways and greens had very little grass. Ni rakes in traps. Will not play this course again as there are many better options in the area.
Lots of sand traps!
Greens in good condition Fairways dry with bare spots. Lots of sand traps but local rule plays them like waste bunkers which helps. Played with 2 other men and had enjoyable round Has starter which helps
Holiday afternoon play
The greens were not ingreat condition. I did not complain much bc I only had 6 GIR's so how could I complain when I played so bad lol. A lot of sand on the tee box and rough. Not fairway or green bunkers just sand, the grass is not fully grown yet. There was a 2some in front of the group in front of us and they held up everyone. No Marshall's to regulate pace of play and one person checking players in and maning the bar/kitchen. Tee off was at 1pm so u would think they would have more help on a Holiday. Overall it was OK for the price but as a visitor no real reason for me to come back when I'm in town.
Deltona --Fun / Hilly Course in Central Fla
Very busy Friday for golf, this day with guests in the area for Daytona 500 & race weekend. The course is so much fun to play, great layout --no water hazards, but lot's-o-sand & not your typical Central Fla flat track. Fairways & greens not in the best of shape, but then again, neither is my golf game. Thanx to GN for the Hot Deal Special on this very busy Friday afternoon --great weather, hot 85*. I guess the negative point about "amenities" is the fact the ProShop gal (been there for many years) was left alone @ 3pm to take care of both Greens Fees and the snack bar. She was trying to collect from the Friday evening "league" (lined up by a dozen) at counter, plus trying to serve a thirsty bunch just in off the course. She had her hands full, but a staffing issue at that particular time. Pace-of-Play was kinda slow, we waited on about every hole, but still finished in about 4hrs, so it wasn't that bad. Deltona is just such a fun track, I hate to give degrading points for the declined conditions and grassless areas in fairways.
I played the par5s well, which are all uphill (extra club), except #16, which snakes right-left downhill. The par3s are good too, all with a downhill view, but of variable distances. I know us old guys use most every club in the bag .........and its just a fun course to play. I'll be back and I know the course conditions will improve; I just hope my swing & score can improve as well.
Not bad for prairie golf
Course was extremely dry and brown. Greens were acceptable and played well. Overall, not bad for prairie golf.
Good Course decent price
Course is fun with a lot of interesting holes, it was a little slow pace starting out but cleared up shortly after the start. Greens are soft and a little fuzzy but Rolled nicely
Grassless
I've always enjoyed playing this course, however today the fairways were in the worse shape ever! It was "lift, clean and then find a piece of grass to place your ball!"
Nice course
Staff great, but bar/Snack small and need a person station there. Pace of play was slow, but overall nice place.
