Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

fun round
course was a little thin on the fairways and greens were a little on the slow side but still enjoyed playing here and the layout is a challenge if your not playing your best game. will be back..
Decent Course
The greens are in decent shape, would be better if golfers would fix their marks. The fairways are a little sparse. I really wish they would overseed for the winter. I saw another comment about the price, I also wish they had a better rate during the week. Because of that, our group doesn’t play here as much.
Slow and boring
Just a plain dry course with loads of sand and no water. No rakes for the traps. Ball marks all over every green. Foursome ahead of us were extremely slow with open holes in front of them. This group did not repair any ball marks at all. Out of the four courses in the area this one ranks 3 out of 4 in overall course conditions.
Glorified cow pasture
Let me give you some perspective on the reviewer
I shoot consistently, in the low 80’s
I played over 100 rounds last year
Cart paths are suspect.
Fairways are sparse, very little grass, until you reach 16,17 and 18
.Sand traps don’t have sand, or racks
Price is to high, we paid 60 bucks on a Sat at 9 am
pace of play was very slow
Course is overrated.
Layout appears to be the most positive thing about this course.
Greens were slow, needed to be cut
If you’re looking for a chiropractic adjustment just ride what they call a cart path.
Will not be playin this course again
Sorry just being honest
Deltona Club --No Water Hazards
Always a fun time @ Deltona Club, just wish/try to better my scores. The first 3-outta 4 holes on Front9 are the hardest: elevated greens #1&2, then sheer length of 425+ par4 4th. The layout is awesome, rolling terrain on sandhills of Central Florida .......and most distinguishing feature -- no lost balls in water hazards. You can still lose a ball, with errant shots .......or in the lip of a sand bunker. That would be my only complaint, bunkers are in horrible condition, and if they did have rakes, people forgot how to rake sand (during pandemic many courses held back rakes & ballwashers to prevent contamination). Other than that ......and my weak distance-deprived swing, the course is fun. Thanx to GN for the Hot Deals Special on crowded course of Christmas Eve.
The best in the Area
I love to play here …. Nice course and friendly people….. only one complaint during the week price need to come down a little bit….. other then that I love this golf ⛳️ course
Deltona Club
Tough course with abundant sand bunkers and fairway areas. The par threes are challenging and overall, there is only one easy hole on each nine. I hit straight so I avoided the sand areas and buckers, but if you have an errant driver or approach shot you could be in trouble. It was one of the most interesting courses I have played in years and want to go back soon. Good elevation changes for a Florida course.
Staff
When I called they told me it was wide open..
3 1/2 hrs 9 holes…!!!
When I spoke to the lady that was in charge see if we can at least play the front over again she said absolutely not ask for a nine hole rain check also absolutely not! The only person that was nice was the cart guy. Will never play this golf course or suggest to anyone to play it thank you
The Never Ending Review
This is the 5 request for an review on the same reservation.
Deltona Club is Fun Track
Rolling terrain, plenty of sand, but no water hazards.
Greens a little on slow side, but maybe with their size & undulation, this poor old putter has no room to complain. Busy course this day, but pace was wonderful Thanx to GN for the Hot Deals.
Enjoyable experience
First of all I would like to begin with the positives of our experience yesterday at the Deltona club. Checking in was a breeze and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The service at the grill and beverages inside we’re also very good and friendly. Reasonable prices and good food. The layout Of the golf course was extraordinary and the elevation changes were unique in my experience since moving to Orlando a little over a year ago. The greens needed to be cut and were a little slow because of that. The sand traps and the cart paths need attention. Having said that, for $37 The condition of the course overall was a very fair value. I would like to play the course again with freshly cut greens.
