nice course but dissappointed

got there and was told that the front 9 was not in play as they were sending the greens and we would have to play the back 9 twice. also we were delayed by over 1 hour and put out behind some very slow players. played the course a few times before and had some bad experiences

Course in great condition for late October

The course was in excellent condition, particularly for the time of year. Green fee of €30 was good value for money too.

Course was very busy and the pace of play was good, with only the occasional delay (par 3's etc.).

Lutterellstown has some tough holes and some more accessable for the average golfer, so is a good challenge for most, without being too difficult.

I would definately like to play the course again, hopefully when it is not as windy!!

Luttrelstown

The course was in great nick. The only problem was the greens had been sanded. Was surprised to see that in the middle of the summer. Apart from that no complaints at all.

Nice course

Love the layout of the course, very challenging. Greens are immaculate and quick. Fairways have been better in the past, although still above many in the area.played it for 25 euro, absolutel bargain although on weekends is slightly overpriced. Nice course, great test of golf!

Nice course

The greens were being aerated. If the greens were in season it would have been an excellent course. A lot of room to hit your shots. Castle on course was a bonus.

Greens in terrible condition!!

Booked to play the course and was really looking forward to it having played it many times before. Booked online, arrived at course and checked in, all fine. We were told only one group in front of us and to play away.

Arrived at practise putting green to find the green hd been pole-forked recently and was ridiculous to put on. When we went out on the course, the actual greens were even worse. Complete waste of money and putting was a joke, watching the ball jumping and hopping all over the place. NO mention of this online, NO mention of this on their website, NO mention of this in the clubhouse or even by the person in the shop when checking in.

There was large rectangular sections of fairways taken up and not replaced. 3rd green had a section on the putting green taken up and not replaced.

So disappointed, it doesn't cost anything to let people know that the greens have been worked on

Luttrellstown not up to scratch

Arrived at course to be told we could only play the front nine twice. The back 9 was closed would not have booked the course if we knew this. The greens on the front 9 were treated and sanded which made putting nearly impossible. ( hit and hope) overall not a very good experience for me or my companion. Would not recommend this course to anyone.

Disappointed with attitude

Booked through golfnow at a price of €35 per head. On arrival Luttrellstown insisted that their Saturday rate was €40 and despite showing them the e-mail confirmation charged that amount with an assurance that they would sort after the round.

After the round, met their director of golf Chris. He told me to contact Golfnow as I had booked through them and it was Golfnow's mistake.

As far as I am concerned Golfnow were Luttrellstown's agent and Luttrellstown should have honoured whatever deal their agent made.

Despite Luttrellstown being a great course at all times of the year and placing about €300 of green fees with them in the last year, I will not be going back there until all members of my party receive their refund.

A very well designed course that plays very long in the winter

The course played long with three of the par threes around the 200 yard range. The course it self is a great walk with some excellent scenery in the grounds of Luttrellstown Castle. Water is in play on a large number of the holes which certainly gets you thinking and ensures that you choose the correct club for your approaches. All in all the course was in great nick from tee to green, for this time of year.

This is a very well set up golf course

Was a pleasure to play at Luttrelstown, from the warm and helpful welcome to what is a delightful course. Lots of interesting holes and challenges for golfers of all standards. The course is also well maintained throughout.
