Poor green management
So much debris on the greens. Large chunks of dirt. Looks like no one had checked them in days, compounded by players not taking better care. Also stuck behind s very slow 2 ball that wouldn't let us play through (notcthe clubs fault, just bad form). Walked off after the 9th
Newlands revisited
First time playing Newlands in 25 years and it didn't disappoint. We were only a 2 ball but didn't get too held up behind a 4 ball it took 4 hours to play. Although the course was mainly dry there was a lot of muck on the trolley wheels and my shoes when we finished. The course hasn't changed much over the years but the greens are in good condition for this time of year. The course is tightly lined with trees on most holes so it's a tough driving test. Overall great value and would play again, only negative was that the areas around the greens were tightly cut and as a result there was an awful lot of bald lies.
Excellent course and in great condition for this time of year. You don’t loose golf balls at this course. Every fairway is tree lined. Would love to play it during the summer.
Great course and well maintained
Had a lovely round this week. Only a couple of temporary tee boxes but other than that the course was in excellent condition.
Was playing as a single and 2 different groups offered for me to play through without any hassle, everyone was super friendly.
Great condition for time of year
Overall course was in great condition. There was a couple of temporary tee boxes but that is to be expected at this time of year. Lovely greed for putting and fairways in great shape. Will definitely play here again
Nice course, easy walk first 9 holes
Played Newlands first time. Relatively flat course especially the front 9 holes. As a single had to wait on a couple who never let me through. Course is fair and what you see is what you get. Some of the signage could be better. Definitely worth trying out. Decent location in Dublin.
Nice course but poor staff!
Course was in great condition, fairly straight forward but some tough holes, Staff seemed to be disgruntled that we had gotten the round at a reduced price, they did a good job at pushing the narrative that the club is not very open or welcoming. Wouldn't come again as there are countless courses in the vicinity with staff that are friendly and obliging.
Tree lined course
We paid 15 Euro per person which was a fantastic price for a wonderful golf course. The course was extremely challenging but we enjoyed this. The course was in pristine condition and the staff were very friendly also. We would have no hesitation in recommending this golf course but I doubt if your round would be so cheap as we got a special on the day.
The course was in excellent condition and will be back again to play
