Holywell Golf Club

Lovely day at this friendly course. Good condition and good test. A shame that it was painfully slow. As a single following two golfers in a buggy it was disappointing to be waiting so much. Pro very friendly and lovely in the club house behind the bar.

Looking forward to playing a new course , and first impression was , where have I come to !!

Roads through the course, sheep everywhere, little practice areas and a poor putting practice area.

The staff in the shop , seemed uninterested, assume because we had booked a hot deal , and he mentioned numerous times as, the club didn’t get financial gain from that.

On a positive, the members I spoke to , were very friendly and accommodating with their knowledge of the course .

Happy to pay £15 .99 for a winter golf 18 holes where open little wet in areas as expected in winter I have played this course in summer would recommend

Didn’t think with British weather I’d get in a round in November but the course was in excellent condition, greens were perfect. Would highly recommend.

Playing quite a lot of golf this summer around different courses were we can. We came across this little gem. Links style layout, challenging fairways and tricky greens.

Whilst I shot my worse score of the year (my fault rather then the course) both myself and my friend came off the course both saying how good it was.

Highly recommended.

Quirky with sheep and busy roads, sometimes difficult to find next hole but a real adventure.

Lovely course full of character the sheep are everywhere once you get used to them they move out your way 😂😂 very tight but the rough isn’t thick thanks to the sheep will definitely be back

Good little course for the money, only thing is it would be ideal if they had some better sings showing where the next tee is and if the scorecard had a map.

A tricky quirky unusual challenging course looking like a links course but situated well inland loved the course including the sheep wondering about even having to wait till they crossed the green before playing an approach shot. Back 9 more difficult then front nine driving over quarries driving across a public road is unusual but having to dibit twice in 1 round is very unusual. Full marks for the course pity I can’t say the same for the food which I can only describe as terrible. Lasagna swimming in fat one layer of pasta no tomato flavour in the meal meal jacking garlic bread chips soggy greasy and very poor. Course gets 9 out if 10 Food gets 2 out iof10

Played at Holywell for the first time today and I was greeted by the pro who was very helpful and friendly and explained the course layout in detail. Course was in great condition with all holes open even after all the courses in the area being closed the previous week. Will definitely be returning, fantastic club !
