Delta Hotels by Marriott St Pierre Country Club - Mathern Course

Hadn't played the Mathern for several years, and remembered it being quite soft and soggy in places. But the course was in pretty good shape, without any significant problem areas. The greens were rolling well.

It was busy (probably due to the good weather and reduced green fees) so we did have to wait occasionally for the group in front of us. We got round in ~4hrs as a 2-ball.

Really enjoy playing the Mathern course. Some long pars but overall a really good course and mainly quite forgiving if you don't always drive straight. Will come back for sure (have played here 3 times).

Lovely course, a great mix of open fairways and well placed greens, liked the number of par 3’s and longer tees, some fun shorter holes aswelll, Greens were well looked after and consistent pace. Great value and will be back very soon!

Course was playing well, but the extremely slow play ended up me and my friends only playing 9 holes as it took us 3.5 hours to do that when usually we are near enough finished. A lot of waiting around, and no marshals on the course to help speed up play.

Staff was very polite and helpful. Course was in good condition apart from a few holes was a bit soft underfoot but playable. Only downside was how expensive the beers were in bar afterwards would definitely need another mortgage

Fantastic course in great condition. But let's not mess about... £18. At a great location.... How can you beat it? Course was in great condition. Tricky course with some long Par 3's but everyone really enjoyed it.

As usual, great course in a really good condition we all enjoyed and for sure will be back again.

Another 2 weeks of sunshine and the course is beginning to look and play quite nicely. Greens were a bit long and the fairways quite soft. 15th was boggy on one side. Great day again and not the queues that are on the Old course.

1st time playing here this year. The fairways were beginning to firm up but no great roll. The greens were a little slow but they had just been treated. I thought the yellow tees could have been moved a little further back after the recent warm weather, but I’m not the greenkeeper. Overall the best course I have played post winter and there were a lot less people than the Old Course. Highly recommended. Oh, I and came in with a 75.

Didn’t have a great round😂 but the course was in good shape and was very quiet which helped. Great price at £18 as well so no complaints.

Very wet underfoot but the greens were good. Not the longest course but perfect in the conditions. Nice layout with mature trees and a river winding through. Great value for money and would definitely come back

You come to expect the wet under foot conditions considering the rain. But the staff were very open and honest and what I had heard it was to be expected.

Nevertheless, the course itself was excellently kept. Pace on greens was brilliant despite the rain. Will definitely return and check out the old course with prices being such good value for money
