Boca Royale Golf & Country Club

The course was nice and in good shape, did not however appreciate being told to speed up play when we were on pace to complete round at a normal 4 hour pace. The group behind us who were members were all riding in there own carts which speeds up there pace at our expense. No fun being rushed.

Course was in great shape, was greeted at the bag drop by a helpful and nice fella. The young lady at the pro shop was super sweet and couldn’t have been nicer. The starter on the other hand was quit unfriendly , made it very clear he didn’t care for the golfnow users. Since I’m new to the area I like using the app to hopefully meet players from different states and enjoy the company. That being said, all the members I talked to were very friendly and ask if I enjoyed the course. Not sure if I will go back if the starter remains the same.

Have played here many times. Course is very good. The starter has a chip on his shoulder and hates golfnow. He has the opinion that the course gets no money from golfnow. As a paying customer it should not matter to him. He has expressed this on many occasions.

The course was in very good shape. The greens were in great shape. Good speed and very true. If you missed the fairways in a few places it was not a good lie but don’t miss the fairway. Only downside was warm up There is no range you hit into a net.

Parking lot experience was ok, then it went downhill.

Shop staff was slow and made no conversation at all. Couldn’t care less that I was there.

Starter immediately referred to me and my playing partners as “Golfnow crap”, explaining how our type was often late, demanding and contributed nothing to the club. Wow -what a warm welcome. I guess the entire staff was having a bad day. Note to Boca- if you accept outside play don’t do your best to make them fell like the great unwashed and unworthy. My 5 minutes with you ruined an otherwise decent 4 hour experience.

Love the layout , pace of play was good. Grass was a little dry on fairways, but overall great day . Price was fair.

Good test. Plays longer than the scorecard reads. Greens are excellent. A little bare in spots but a great value for the money. A bunch of gators out getting sun also.

Greens were good, and fairways in very good shape. Traps had nice sand. Tee boxes were beat. Biggest complaint was lack of a driving range. At 74 with lots of orthopedic issues, either I hit the driving range, or my first few holes are ugly. That was the case. Kinda ruins an otherwise nice day.

It was a good day for Golf. However, the fairways were not in good shape which made the approach shots difficult for me.
