Good price for par 70-72 course in this area and accurately rated by GolfNow.com at 4/5. Early rain/high wind guaranteed fast play--under 4 hours for twosome. Starter sent us out alone, great, we don't like other players--too slow.

Course is challenging well kept fairways. The greens could use some more work. The staff was very friendly. Really enjoyed my round

Had a reasonably good time. The golf course conditions are average. The greens could have been better.

Course is in excellent condition. Emerald Tees are just over 6000 yds and diamond (back) tees just over 6300 yds. Lots of water but most is left or right of fairways, forced carry over water on only 3 holes. Lots of sand but most holes have opening to greens for run up shots. Greens in great shape and not fast compared to most Florida courses I've played. Our foursome played in 3.5 hours but we were 2nd group off in morning. Noticed 3 groups backed up on a front nine par 3 as we played the back nine so it appeared that the later you tee off the slower it would be. Starter had a full tee sheet from 7:22 to 4:00. A very pleasant round of golf, would play the course again but would also play as early as possible.

Been there plenty of times, and enjoy playing this very well kept course. What keeps us from playing it more is the snow bird rates this time of the year!

We had planned to play 18 but one of the threesome had to leave so we decided to just play 9, even though it was a Sunday and the course was busy we played right along with only minor wait at two holes. Beautiful course with just enough challenge to make it interesting and not discouraging for the average golfer.

Great layout and great condition! Will play again,after snow bird pricing or a golf now hot deal.

Adrian, Scott, Larry and the rest of the staff are incredible! Always friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make you golf experience great. I have been golfing at Boca Royale for years now and the lay out is hard is some areas and easy in others. Not a bombers paradise. Its a short course. Very narrow front 9 with ALOT of water. Bring extra balls! Back 9 is more forgiving with less water. The food is fantastic at the resturant! Good place for a post round beeer or pregame lunch. Excellent spot to watch people finish their round on the 18th green and tee off on hole number 10. Now things to be aware of- Driving range is not open to the public. You have to be a member on the community to access the range, which is basically a dirt pasture. They do however offer nets you can hit into on mats. This however gives you no feedback on ball flight on how you are hitting that particular day. There is also a dress code. Shirts must be tucked in. No other course I have ever played has this rule, unless it's an exclusive club that hosts PGA Tour events. The greens are always in tough shape. They get alot of play and are always slow, soft and show alot of wear. They have put alot of money into improving the course, and they still have a ways to go to draw in more of the public and make it more inviting. In Sarasota County , there is alot of great competition. This course is sure to be on your favorites list as the lay out, friendly staff and scenic views will surely make it a great afternoon of golf.

Played for the first time the other day as a single. Was paired with two very friendly gentlemen and had an enjoyable time. The staff seemed friendly enough and the starter got us off ahead of our tee time. We played in just about 4 hours, maybe a bit less. The course was in good condition, though a few greens could have been better. All in all it was a good day, worth the price.

My 1st time here and I have been waiting to play here for some time now. The front nine was real slow. A marshall/ranger would have helped pace of play due to crowded conditions. i.e. pick up after triple bogey or more.
Greens were slow but in good condition. I would have expected faster greens for the course.
Back nine was faster due to some players in front of us only playing nine holes, but much more enjoyable to play even if it had been as crowded.

Great course with enough challenges from water hazards and well positioned trees. Greens are in great shape but are not fast so you'll need to adjust if your use to fast ones.

The layout was excellent and the fairways were in great shape.The greens were very slow .

This was a nice course; it was not top of the line, but I did not pay top dollar to play here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was in pretty good shape and was a nice layout. They had a nice putting area and a chipping area, but no driving range; there were a couple of nets where you could take a full swing, but your practice was mostly going to be the short stuff. All the holes had enough extra challenges--water and traps--to make the game interesting. I'd play here again, but would also look for other courses as well.

Nice alternative to other area courses. Better condition that many of the other public tracks.
