Boca Royale Golf & Country Club

One of the few courses I've played in Florida with a good warm up area that would bring players out early enough to warm up and be on time for their t time. Course is not long but the greens are well groomed and tricky. AS a senior, I really enjoyed the length and condition. The only thing I didn't like was the length of the round, waited on every hole and every shot, no play marshals out on the course

I'm very disappointed in the GolfNow/Boca Royale relationship. When I made the online reservation with GolfNow I expected a $36 plus tax rate but when I got to the course they wanted to charge me $49 plus tax (but finally settled for $41 plus tax). Boca Royale said they "had had that problem before with GolfNow". Won't use Boca Royale or GolfNow again!

enjoyed playing except for the pace of play but I will try it again.

front nine had very small greens, no definition of the holes, could not tell the fairway from the rough.

Played it in January, it appeared that that the course had not been overseeded, as the fairways and rough were a little thin in spots. Overall, the course was in good shape. ONE HUGE BRIGHT SPOT, THE GREENS WERE GREAT! The speed was excellent. Coming from the north where we play on bent and bluegrass, these greens were very similar. No battling the bermuda grain here. Rolled very true.

An old course in need of upgrade. Fairways have deteriorated significantly since last spring. Pro shop staff (Scott) was unhappy to see us - surly best describes his attitude. Hopefully new ownership will address both problems.

The bag drop, pro shop & starter were all very accommodating and we enjoyed the twosome that we were paired with. Unfortunately, we were all new to the course & there are NO pictures of the course layout on the carts, cards or tees. If you don't play your first round with someone who knows the course, a handheld GPS is an absolute must..... ie. Hole #9!

There were two players, one scratch golfer and me. The experience was great for both of us. The minute we arrived in the parking lot, an attendant arrived with the golf cart. The people in the pro shop were very friendly and helpful. The course was in great shape, pace of play excellent, and although we played the last three holes in the rain it did not dampen our enthusiasm for the course or the game. We hope to go back sooner rather than later.

Although this couse is not long, you can find yourelf in some difficult situations. Don't try to be a hero, leave the driver in the bag and you will do alright.

An enjoyable Christmas Day round as once the 9 holers left we breezed through the last 9 in less than 1 1/2 hours.

My third time to play the course. Marshall's are unfriendly at best. Seems to be a country club attitude with an attitude toward non members. :(

If you miss the fairway you are not killed, the rough is fair. tress only get in the way if you really screw up. Greens are very well protected by lovely sand traps. Greens were very fair and fast, puts went in as expected.
Nice blend of holes, some bump and run and some where you carry water to green.

Staff is great. They told us it was backed up but we still finished in 4 hours.
The ponds are just loaded with local birds, great to see.

Older style florida golf course - lots of trees, some water, greens are smaller and all have some tilt and not to undulated, putt very nicely. Not long but fairly tight fairways. Several good par threes. Good course for the money.

This is what I'd consider a seniors course measuring only 6,000 yrds from the tips, however, it offered considerable risk/reward opportunities for the longer player as well.
The conditions were excellent and pace of play was good so it made for a very enjoyable round. I'll absolutely be back!

the course has some really interesting holes and the views are fascinating.

Course was not busy for a Sunday: are people aware that it open to the public? Starter was very chatty and allowed us to tee off whenever we wanted. Practice facilities were very limited with no range available (despite course publicity stating that there was...). Played off back tees which were not well maintained but rest of course in good condition. Greens reasonably fast and true. Main challenge were multitude of trees alongside the fairways and plenty of water too.

Excellent welcome from staff in Pro Shop, many thanks, it makes a different to feel at ease. Coarse in good condition with the greens quite quick and true. Good time for the 18 holes, no problems, would play this venue again.

The grrens are small but interesting, the course is well maintained, many holes are very challeging with water to go over.s

proshop staff very welcoming and friendly, course in good condition and challenging for most golfers who know they aren't pros... love playing there and play there once a week when in Florida. Price is very reasonable for this calibre of course.

TOO MANY TWOSOMES CAUSED SLOW PLAY. NO RANGERS WERE SEEN ON COURSE FOR CONTROL.
