Boca Royale Golf & Country Club

One of the worst golf courses I’ve ever played. Fairways were like hitting off horse track. $140 they should be prosecuted for Larceny.

First of all this is a municipal track that should be no more than $40/50 a round and that's being kind. Worst conditions of any course I have ever played in Florida. Tee boxes are laughable and the fairways non-existent. Greens are good but that's not even a saving grace! Don't waste your money, play a real course. There are so many actual good courses in the area...

Only 17 holes open for play. Conditions are poor, needs water. Holes and tees are very close, you could get hit.

Tired of overpaying for substandard Florida golf.

Excellent service, younger guy came out to my car with a cart and grabbed my bag from the car. Course conditions were average, greens were in great shape and rolled fast and true. Would recommend if you can get a hot deal!

10th tee box under repair and was not informed. No grass left on 10th tee. Front nine was average, back nine was awful. Driving range was not available to non members, I guess is fine but they may want to mention that on their website.

The course was overpriced. Temporary tee box on, 10 making the par 4 a par three which they failed to mention. The tee boxes and fairways were in poor shape. Thought we were getting a GolfNow “deal “ for $100.00. It’s a $40.00 course at best. Staff was very friendly and greens were in good condition but very small.

Not very friendly in clubhouse, cart guy in lot was best for information and very helpful. Starter seemed knowledgeable but a little more in tune with helping regulars than first timers. Did advise to stay below hole which was good. No staff to get slower players to speed up. Some greens not in great shape. Other courses in area better kept for less dollars.

This course is awful. Rude staff and the worst course conditions you can imagine. Greens are ok but fairways, rough and tees are brutal. Imagine paying $125 and you’re not allowed to use the range !!! Yep, it’s only for members. Pace of play was great but no chance I will ever play there again

Course Restrooms smelling moldy.

Woman at pro shop was not friendly at all. She gave me the impression I was bothering her when I checked in. She barely spoke to me. Course was also a big disappointment. Greens had burnt out areas, one green actually had a sizable area in front that was roped off and marked "Ground under repair" Fairways were void of sufficient grass. My playing partners paid $125.00 each. I played courses near Sarasota for $60.00 that were in better shape than Boca Royale.

Course is average at best. I only enter this review in the context of the cost of the round at $125. Course is in less than average condition No GPS. No Driving Range. Some greens are in very poor condition. In addition, the Pro Shop do not mention that one hole was under repair. I do not think that this would have changed our decision to play, but I believe this should be communicated.

My two cents. Better to price this course at $75 and have golfer return again versus pricing at $125 and having golfer write a bad review and never play to return

I can’t believe that, for the price, they don’t let you use the driving range unless you are a member.. the course was full of weeds and in poor condition for the price they are charging.. I played many local course for less that were in much better condition. Nice layout though, but I would not recommend this track.

Enjoyed the course and found it challenging with water coming into play on many holes. Several greens were under repair and #10 was changed from a par 4 to a shorter par 3. Overall, we enjoyed our day and will return.

Can't use a driving range because it's for member only. Paid $127+ for a round that I couldn't practice. The conditions were worst, the fairway was bumpy and muddy. It's just a waste of money. The .ball laid on grass, so your divot is hard mud. They want to go private, that not smart because people leave to go home. Maybe six months away will give them time to repair as their problems.

PEOPLE FORGET ABOUT THIS COURSE

The buttons don't work correctly. I'm 12 handicap and I golf 4 times a week.

No range to warm up the swing. Round took 5 hours, with wait time on nearly every shot. Construction on 10 hole dropped a par four to a three with a sand area on the green. Disappointed given the price of the round. Lots of doglegs that keep driver in the bag.

Good layout and the greens were in good condition and fast.
