Lovely links

A great links, lovely views. Play safe off the tees as the holes get tighter for the big hitters. Played this course loads of times and it never disappoints.

Holyhead GC

Arrived on time, no staff available in the pro shop to get score cards or information. Players just turned up and just went out. We had booked for 7:45am - following a four ball obviously no dress code on this course. Temporary Greens on two holes still out. Overall poor condition and poorly organised.

Monday 4-ball

Arrived to be told the course was down to 16 holes and that the par 5 9th was now a short par 3. This was not known in advance. Condition of course was fine but greens were very bumpy. We had fun and would return when it’s back to 18 holes and if greens improved over the spring and summer

I’m sure this course would be great in Spring/Summer

Appreciate that it was middle of winter that I played, but greens were full of disease and hadn’t been cut for weeks.

Winter tees were, at times, around 100 yards ahead of normal tees.

Course was surprisingly boggy.

As I said, course lay out is great but would like to play again in better condition

Excellent course

Very nice, well kept course. Interesting layout with some challenging holes and some lovely scenery on the way around. Nice welcoming club house and pro shop with friendly staff. Will definitely return in the future.

Disappointed

Played on a glorious sunny day with no wind. The greens had been sliced and sanded making them very uneven. The pace of play was very slow having to eait in every shot.

I felt the green fees were expensive when compared to other courses we played on Angelsey which the course did not warrent..

Members we spoke to were very friendly.
