Pwllheli GC
First 7 holes all parkland which tend to be very similar in layout apart from par 3 3rd.
8 to 11 are links and the fairways are very scrubby with hardly any grass on them and difficult to play.
12 to 18 are parkland.
Greens are in great condition and are all flat.
Didn’t use any amenities but clubhouse looks well set up.
Course of two halves
Lovely course broken into two. The front half is of a parkland setting (on reclaimed land so unfortunately is prone to flooding) and the second half is more of your stereotypical links golf course.
It’s a shame they’re are no par 5’s but still a course to think about and challenge you.
Nice little course
Nice course. Interesting mix between parkland and links offered plenty if challenge. No par fives would suggest a cruise, but plenty of long holes to makes thing challenging with the usual challenge of some links holes adding some strokes tothe round. Only small grumblw would be some parts of the course was very wet, so drainage probably lacking but this wasn't too desruptive as weather hadn't been too bad for the few days leading tothe round. Greens played very nicely, course nice and forgiving on parkland holes. Will head back without a doubt.
Lovely links style course
We had a really enjoyable round here. Right from the off, the staff in the pro shop we’re so friendly and welcoming it instantly put you at ease. The whole area had been hammered by bad weather so they kept open 9 holes to play twice and considering the storms the course was in a good condition. Beautiful views as you play along the coastline and challenging winds to make you think.
A casual round
This course boasts a few challenging holes in terms of layout but was let down by poorly maintained tee boxes, unkempt fairways in places and slow saturated greens. The Bunkers were not in good order either from view but we did have a large amount of rain last night which is forgivable for the green etc.
The staff in the kitchen and bar were extremely hospitable and the view from the terrace is fantastic, I could've stayed there for hours.
Slow play and quite 'casually' dressed golfers were freely present which lent to the 'average' review of this potentially gorgeous course.

welsh wonder
not the first time we've played this course and it won't be the last. great course well set out and in great condition. first half parkland second half links
Great Course, Great Breakfast!
2nd time playing this year, course in great condition and a varied challenge with the parkland/Links mix.
Wind got up a little and definitely kept us honest...
Make sure you arrive early enough to get some food before your round - great value - generous portion and decent quality.
Outstanding course
You start in parkland for 7 holes then the real test begins with 8 holes of links golf , 4 in a row along the coast edge boasts spectacular views out to sea. Finishing with 3 holes leading back to the clubhouse for a well earned drink.
The greens are immaculate and run true, the course is well maintained and the staff are very friendly non more so than the welcome you get in the pro shop when you arrive.
Superb
What a great pleasure to play this golf course. Very friendly in the pro shop, giving good advice, the course was in great condition. Would recommend to anyone.
Lovely track, like playing 2 courses
First 7 are pretty parkland then from 8 the course turns Links. Much more of a challenge.
We had great weather just enough of a wind to make it interesting!

This is the 5th time we've played here and I can't overstate the friendliness of the staff and the condition and layout of the course. We first played at the end of may and the course was a bit wet after the long winter but since then it has been superb. The frpnt nine and the back links
A game of two halves (well almost)
Great course and a real challenge. Front 7 are interesting parkland type holes. Hole 2 could do with a little more signage(look at a shot saver before teeing off!) but is still a good challenge.
Once you get back to the clubhouse to the eighth the course transforms into a fantastic links course with great view of the islands off Abersoch and Cardigan Bay; if you are very lucky you can see dolphins! Great tees on the next few holes; just watch for the public walking the coastal path!
The course turns back inland for 16,17 & 18. Despite this 16 with a blind tee shot over a hill and 17 a par four narrowing to a tight green are my two favourite holes on the course; on both you need to land your drive I the right place.
In summary, despite no par 5’s it is a fantastic course where you don’t need to be a ‘bomber’ to make par on most holes. Set on the coast it has fantastic views and the staff at the pro shop are very helpful. Highly recommended!
1st choice in north wales
This is probably the 10th or so time I have played Pwllheli as a returning holiday maker in the locality. I feel that it offers the right balance of some challenging holes, but also has holes which will reward good play. The staff are really nice, particularly in the pro shop.
I have played all the other courses of note in the local area over the years, on balance I think Pwllheli has the best to offer, and would be first on my list on my next return visit.
Easy to arrange
Great course with a mixture of links and parkland, very well kept and in good condition. Greens were very good and members were friendly and approachable. Would totaly reccomend playing here
