Fabulous layout with excellent greens

Played on a breezy sunny day. Greens firm, fast and like velvet. Fairways dry. Have played numerous times and always enjoy this very clever layout using all the natural features. Always a challenge and fantastic value for money in an age where so many good courses charge extortionate rates

Our tee off was delayed by 45 minutes because of a large charity four ball event and it was a 4.75 hour round for a 3 ball - so a bit frustrating from that perspective.

An attractive course layout though and fairways and greens were in good condition. The course could improve its look a lot by a bit of work to smarten up the tees, which were very poorly maintained.

Staff were friendly and we'll be back hopefully on a quieter day.

Overpriced

Poor course management (we were waiting about 5-10 mins on each hole)

Overall I would say it is overpriced

The course has great views

A straight away course, only been able to play 14 holes in twilight hours. Book through GN and get a discount to paying in the pro-shop… Played on 2 occasions both very windy conditions and low setting sun affecting ball flight.. reasonably wide undulating fairways, open as usual with links layouts. A short course good drives gives fair chances to flick your wedge on.. wind can and does make certain 2nd shots a just challenge. Key here is ball in play trust your distance control and tricky blind fairways from tees and fairways playing over beyond head height mounds/grounds… Fitness - hilly walks and slippery in places..

Best course in Anglesey

Excellent condition except the sand in the Bunkers is not good. I fully recommend this course which is over 100 years old. I have played here on and off for 55 years and it is in the best condition that I can remember, probably helped by the wet Summer of 2024. When the wind blows from the West, it is a seriously challenging golf course. The greens are not very fast but need full concentration. On some holes, the shot to the greens are tight and require good long iron shots. Two of the Par 3’s are specifically challenging: one withe wind and one against rack. Each narrow fairway and green surrounded by gorse.

My partner and I came away having had a tremendously enjoyable round of golf. We shall definitely return there.

A very friendly, well maintained course. Because of the layout of the course you have to be very careful with balls from other holes coming across you or in a few places players behind you playing over a hill with you on the other side.

A very good experience, the staff were all great and all players you came across friendly

Would recommend….but avoid comp or busy days and keep your eyes open for balls
