Holyhead Golf Course
We have played before in April and it was very wet then too - no roll on the ball at all.
It was very windy and from an unusual direction.
Most of the greens were not bad
Holyhead Golf Course in April
A lovely sunny day, but very windy with the wind coming from an unusual direction making it very difficult.
The course was very wet and muddy in places with very little or no run at all.
We will go back, but I'd wait for the summer months
Great course
Like I've said before great course. Staff are helpful green keepers respectful. It's just when you're a 2 ball and you meet the local senior 4balls they seem to think you haven't got right of way. They don't even acknowledge you until the 17th when they say not long now having been waiting on each tee since the 11th. Wouldn't mind if it was a few 4balls infront. If you play, play as early as possible or late afternoon because there's always a group of senior members like the majority of golf clubs have that are intitled......
Worth a visit
An interesting course that has some really challenging narrow holes. Be careful of the gorse!!
Excellent
Really enjoyed my round at Holyhead. Lots of variety of holes, the 4th was a particular highlight. Pace of play was good and the course was welcoming and friendly. Well worth a visit.
Cracking Course
Really enjoyed the day at Holyhead in spite of sacrificing several balls to the gorse. Great layout, fast and sloping greens, staff friendly and helpful plus the weather couldn’t have been better. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
Excellent Greens
The early morning saw rain but being on the coast the rain blew through. We didn't wait on any tee and the whole round took 3 hours.
The greens were magnificent, flat, true and quick.

Good course, short but some interesting holes. Ideal for a holiday knock.

Greens very good fairways unique with rock and Anglesey scrub in the right places!!

Well laid out course
The course was a real test of golf. A well laid out course which was very difficult in places. Cannot wait to play it again. Once is to get used to it twice is to play it.
Sunny Holyhead
Played in sunny calm conditions and still a very tough course. Course management required throughout and not one for the massive tee shot. Very very good golf course.
