Great course but shame about pitchmarks

the greens was really bad with reguards to pitchmarks. Literally nobody must be repairing them. Very disappointed with that other than that fantastic course and very fun to play. Had slow people infront which was annoying on a long course but still was a great time. Real shame about the pitchmarks on the greens as they worse than any course i have ever played and it was the only thing i could complain pver as the rest of the course was fantastic. The facilities at the club are also top notch. Beautiful putting areas and fantastic shop. Would definitely play it again had a blast.

First time playing the Wales National Course

We booked a tee time to play the National Course and throughly enjoyed the experience. The driving range could do with a revamp, but you couldn’t fault the rest of the facilities.

The course was in excellent condition and the only complaint was not with the course itself, but with other golfers not repairing pitch-marks on the greens.

We will definitely return to play the course again as it was a really enjoyable day.

A Fabulous Challenge.

Challenging, fair and attractive layout. Well kept course, well manicured receptive greens and very well kept fairways. Thoroughly enjoyed.

A monster

As a 19 handicap I found the course long an,narrow and unforgiving . But it was in good condition and the greens were in lovely condition. We found a problem in navigating the course as there was little sign posting to find the next hole . The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and after the round.

Great course, would play again

Course condition was excellent and what you would expect from a top end course. Some really interesting holes with the hazards all in the right places (or wrong places for a poor shot!!) to male you think about which shot to play, definite risk/reward options on most holes. Is quite long at 6,600 yards for an 20 handicapper but still very enjoyable. At £22.50 this is an absolute bargain. Good bar food and friendly atmosphere.

Superb course

I've played over 30 courses in s. Wales area and this is definitely one of the best.

Course was in superb condition, fairways , greens and bunkers.

Whilst a few holes are forgettable it's comparable to 2010 but a fraction of the price.

Great course - don’t get a buggy

Course was in great condition. Played in perfect conditions so fantastic value for money

Only downside was the buggies, have gone up in price in last few months (now £30) due to investment in gps systems presumably? Nightmare on the course. Ask you to stick to paths and when you do it says you are ok the fairways and reduces speed right down. Not sure why it does this, I understand they want to protect course but when it drops you down to speed 2 it would be quicker walking!

Great value.

Course was in great condition for the time of year and at £18 on a Saturday morning it’s a bargain. Although the last hole is a let down, there are many great holes in the 7000+ yds that make up for the weak last.

Winter round (February)

The new drainage on this course has clearly made a difference.

The fairways were freshly cut and the greens, although being spiked were rolling trust and fast.

The fairways were incredible, the divot after striking the ball felt like knife through butter.

Its great to play a longer course and getting the challenge of a longer second shot. Managed to play to level par on 12 Handicap and considering the wind and only 2nd round ever I’ll take that

Beautiful...but not a course for > 20 handicaps

Great layout, views, blind shots, test of course management.

Very long course with plenty of hazards.

I would not recommend to high handicappers....unless you go in knowing it will be very frustrating.

Will definitely try to play again while I’m in the UK.
