Mond Valley Golf Club

First time playing this course and I must say I enjoyed. Weather was great for golf sunny, warm and dry.

Lot of rain leading you to the day but felt the fairways and greens had held up well and the ruff was not overly wet either.

The course is narrow which but the greens are a good size.

Looking forward to playing here again and possibly making it my new golf home.

Wanted to thank the club house bar staff and chef for looking after us and making us feel so welcome. The bacon sandwich was top notch as was the burnt toast, I love burnt toast btw. .the course itself was really tight and considering the weather we have had was in surprisingly good condition. Definitely going back in a few months to play again.

Truely disappointed as I have played the mond before, turned up for a 8am tee off with some work colleagues I had invited to find the pro shop and club house all locked up. We proceeded to the first tee to find the winter tees which is standard but there was no way of putting your tee into the mat, we proceeded to play regardless, as we played up to the first green we noticed that the pin wasn’t actually on the green and on the fairway instead, I totally understand this as there was frost on the ground but unfortunately the fairway was only just a fairway and no where near good enough to putt on, within the hour the frost had completely thawed out but none of the greens had been reopened, on the 10 th hole we decided to play up to the green only to be told by a green keeper that the greens weren’t open and if we were lucky a couple of them might be open by the time we finish.

The other real disappointment were the bunkers, apart from having minimal sand in them there were quite a few that were obviously under repair and had the edges cut and just left in the bunker.

In summary totally underwhelmed and disappointed as for £25 a round you could play the vale for that.

Had good conditions for our 3 ball. Course has some interesting holes (3,4,12,13,14,15 especially), Par 3s are very good, good placement is essential on some holes. Greens held a shot really well and played better than they looked. Course is not to difficult but you will find it difficult if you stray into the trees.

Would definitely play again, completely unhurried round, very enjoyable.

Really interesting course where you have to think on every hole. Beautiful condition especially considering the extreme temperatures. The Pro was so friendly as we're a couple of members I spoke to. Although I was on my own, I got round in 3 hours and even though the course was busy it felt like millionaire golf with nobody in front ot behind me. Have found my new favourite course in that area.

Really enjoyed playing this golf course as always staff is always helpful quick service no messing

The course was a very nice place to ho at a very reasonable price also had hire of a golf bug . Really enjoyed the course and would 100% go back again.
