Will be great when work is completed
Played here on Sunday for first time. Great course but only disappointment is that there are currently upgrade works taking place meaning that the 18th isn't in play nor any of the bunkers and a lot of newly laid grass - can't be helped and great to see work take place that will surely improve this course.
Still had a really enjoyable round and the rest of the course was in great nick. Some really tricky tight holes with no room off the fairways for mistakes. Look forward to returning and playing again when work is complete.
15 (14 1/2) Hole Course
The Course is currently under improvement ( only 15 holes in play) but we got no indication of this until we arrived to play - We started on the 10th and had to find our own way (no on course directions - Nearly teed off on the 16th!), to the 13th tee ( our second ).
No GUR signs in most of the back nine (our front) - We were told that the 18th was closed but this was not the case (It had been turned into a poor par 3 ) - In fact the 9th was closed. It was Very disappointing as we had played this course many times late last year and enjoyed it - Won’t consider returning to this course until the improvements are completed - I hope the course management will be more transparent in the future.
Building site
The course is like a building site with the 16 closed and they still charged full price. The ranger actually shouted violently across the fairway while my playing partner looking for his ball. Avoid at all costs!
Poor Communication
Drove 45 mins to the course to be told that it is closed for the day. Pro Shop said an email was sent an hour before our tee time but this has still not been received. No reason for course closure and still think an email which was not received was sufficient. Very poor communication resulting in a massive waste of time!

The par 3’s are challenging.
Great course, challenging second shot on every hole. Bunkers everywhere.

Not a course you will rush back to.
Firstly it's not clear you need tokens for the Driving Range and then it's a very long walk back to clubhouse to get them. This happened to us and so it was a bad start.
Course itself is very long and you need to drive it well. There is a bunker in play on every single shot until you reach the green.
Greens are in very good condition but flags cant be tricky on some holes. Helps if you play with somebody that has played there before and can help guide you a around. We played in very good weather with no wind and it was still a tough test. Easy to lose some golf balls in the dirches around the greens.
Overall its an average course & not one you would go rushing back to play again in a hurry. (Review by 12 handicapper)
Dear Guest,
Firstly, please accept my apologies it was not made clear to you that tokens must be purchased in the Golf Shop prior to making your way to the range. There is also an intercom in the Range to contact the shop in the event you forgot a token. We will look to make this clearer moving forward.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review your experience of Druids Heath.
I have no doubt that if you decide to return the course will play easier having already played here. The Heath will test every facet of your game which is what we expect from a Pat Ruddy design.
We hope to welcome you back soon.

Excellent Set-Up
Only managed 7 holes due to bad weather conditions, but staff were extremely helpful and arranged a follow-up round without any hassle. Great course layout, very challenging but enjoyable.

Woeful condition
You can forgive some muckiness and disrepair in the winter months, but the general condition was terrible. Holes, random piles of mud, weeds, lopsided tee boxes were all very disappointing. Even compared to the cheaper options in the area such as Bray and Blainroe it isn't even close. Beautiful scenery and fine weather, had a grand day, but clearly a course where the management have stopped caring.
Dear Guest,
Thank you for your visit and taking the time to write a review.
I was disappointed to read you felt that the course condition was lacking.
I note you played on January 1st this year. This was during/at the end of what was proven to be the worst run of wet weather in Irish history.
To say that Management have stopped caring is far off the mark. The Resort recently changed ownership to the Neville Hotel Group. A family run, Irish owned businesses.
It is the Neville family’s intention to further enhance our golf reputation by unveiling a significant 2021 investment plan lead by renowned Golf Course Architect, Mr. Peter McEvoy OBE.
We do hope to welcome you back again soon (when the weather improves) and possibly change your opinion about our Golf Course.

Beautiful heathland course
Well maintained beautiful course. Views around for miles!
Course itself played very well and I had a wind that always felt like it was against which added to the experience.
Staff were brilliant and helped with everything and every question I had before and after.. not a course to be missed

Great condition but expensive buggies
Greens on the back nine had been pole forked, which is to be expected at this time of year, but otherwise the course was in excellent condition and a real pleasure to play.
On the downside I had reserved a buggy and was charged €40 which is outrageous, particularly on a weekday, and must be the most expensive in the country. Couldn’t believe they were looking for that much.
Dear Guest,
Thank you so much for visiting us and taking the time to give us a positive review.
Our buggies are priced in line with most clubs in Ireland and are better value than buggy costs on the continent.
We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

course condition
we played the course on Sunday 4 Feb 18 it was very very wet, but the greens where good, fairways water lodged.
I have played here a number of time and it is normally very good but with the rain we have had what can you expect.

Links style but not quite
First pay attention to the course area when booking. I booked druids heath in England not Ireland but called Golf Now the next day and it was quick and easy to get it switched plus got a hot deal. Now about the course we actually played Druids Glen first then Heath right after 36 that day. The Glen is incredible but 75 euros compared to 30 to the Heath. The Heath was a little more windy and set more on the hill which in turn was more hilly then expected. Not quite the links style I was expecting more of a hybrid course of links and American style target with trees, but definitely more open then the Glen. My recommendation would be to play both if you have the time and money but if your more on a budget play the Heath not quite the Glenn but a very nice track.

Nice Track
Good course and test of golf. Always underrated due to its brother Druids Glen, however a much tougher course and worth playing. There are one or two crazy holes on the back 9 which I think are slightly unfair such as index 1 12th and par 5 15th with serious trouble 3-5yrds left of the green. Apart from that a decent course which was in really good condition.
