Killeen Golf Club

Lovely course. Hadn't heard much about it but saw Phillip Walsh play it on the BreakingPar YouTube channel and thought it looked good. Back 9 is very nice. Lots of water hazards. Good challenge and I'll definitely be back. Great value for money.

Fabulous course and in great condition. Good layout that rewards accuracy. It would benefit from proper sign posting for next tee and drop zones. We very much enjoyed our round and will be back to play again.

Standards are seriously good. Credit to all staff.

Some lovely holes, particularly two of the par 3s over water including the 18th.

We were scheduled to play at 16+10 didn't tee off until 16+20 @ after 1hr 25mins we had 4 holes played, so needles to say we left after 4 holes,very disappointed

Beautiful course and scenery. The par 3s and the finishing holes are particular highlights

Lovely course with lots of challenging holes and interesting features. The par 3s are the highlight though slightly disappointed that one is a temp green as it is being renovated atm as it looks like a cracking hole.

Course was in ok condition for winter, not amazing by any means and the greens were in an awful state. Slow and havn’t been rolled recently as the balls were bobbling everywhere.

Course is very challenging and greens well protected.

The real let down was the pace of play. We had to wait to hit every shot on every hole as a fourball was not letting smaller groups through in spite of them being much faster. Made the entire round unenjoyable and a number of groups behind us abandoned mid round. Killeen should really have a ranger or inform fourballs about pace of play. We were a 2 ball and normally finish in 3:10-3:30. It took us over 4 hours to finish here….

Starts with a simple first 4/5. Rewards a straight shooter. Fairways were in good conditions and the greens are kept very nicely.

The back 9 really comes to life with the addition of water hazards, with protected greens which require some challenging shots.

Very nice overall and well worth the fee

After checking the website to make sure the course was open We drive an hour only to discover that the course was closed. I tried ringing he club house and the golf pro whose car was there but no one was answering the phone. Because the website was not updated to say the course was closed I’ve loss my paid up front green fees so I’m not very impressed with Killeen golf course to say the least. Hopefully this won’t happen to anyone else
