Slow but an exceptional muni course
By far the best muni I have played. The pace of play was horrendous. We were 3 hours in finishing number 10. Several marshals came by but never asked the 3 slow groups in front of us to move forward or let people thru. We jumped back to number 3 and played back through 9 just to get most of our holes in. I would go back but not when it’s crowded
Relaxing course to play
My wife and I played this course for the first time and it was challenging enough and fun as well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good course at a good price.
Great place to play!
Great value for golf, course is highly recommended for the price and consistentcy. Only gripe would be greens could roll better, but other than that it's a first class establishment. They have great training and practice areas, the pace of okay is usually good, and the layout can be friendly on most and challenging on a few holes
Oaks course
Great course, lots of trees. Many doglegs. Also a lot of biting flies!
Good local course
Both the Pines and the Oaks courses are good for a local course. I play there at least 1-2x a week. Now water on the Oaks, but both are laid out nice with decent size fairways. Trees line the sides where you can lose your ball as the rough isn't tended to as much as the fairways. But overall, I like it.
Extreem Heat
It's incredibly hot this time of year. Course condiditons are good, well watered and green. Bring a large towel to wipe off the sweat and several golf gloves, they will get drenched with sweat too. Still had a fun day, bevererage cart girl came by multiple times throughout the day.
Very well kept. Great conditions
Quick greens, Pines course front nine was flat but played well.
BEST DEAL FOR THE MONEY
Played Eglin Eagle course , black stone, and this course …definitely the best of the three
