Fun Course
This was my first time playing Ft Walton Pines course and it was an enjoyable round. I was paired with a 3 some from Iowa. Course was very slow as it was packed with senior citizen snowbirds. Fairways were fine but the greens were pretty bad. Overall I would play again as its still a decent value.
Slow Start
Teed off 20 minutes late for our 1:30 tee time. Very slow front nine. Opened up when people finished their nine hole bookings, and got our 18 in well before sunset. Liked the layout , but lots of shots off of rough ground even on the fairways ( which I hit occasionally). Some greens were iffy , but playable. Much better than several other area courses we have played this month, and I would come again. Would be great value if you score a "hot deal tee time.
Fun Course
My first time playing the Pines course was fun but very slow on the front 9. Snow bird season always brings out veerry slow play. Course had some dormant grass in the fairways but they were mowed and played fast. The Greens were all over the place Fast ,Slow and all bumpy. . I was paired with a trio from Iowa who were great fun. Overall course is being over used for snow bird season but thats Florida in the winter. Still a fun course to play. .

Why charging a fee of $3 for using golf now .
Will not use golf paa
Our tee time was delayed by an hour because they did not have any golf carts.
Tee time 1.12 we teed off at 2.04.

Oaks Course is in very poor condition. Pines was in better condition, but not real good. I would not pay over 25.00 to play these courses. It was Feb. 2023 and prices to Golf in Destin are really inflated. If there are no other choices and you can play for near 25 try it. Every time I go there the course is packed and lot of players...so maybe there is something I am missing. It is the lowest price to golf that I found in Destin during my snow bird stay in 2023

Luckily had a gentleman with us who plays here frequently. Gave us tips for the 3 holes one plays over the water. Will definitely come back & play again.

Play was slow,busy ,it would be nice if they move the hole.they had been in same place for awhile. Cups were in sad shape. But I got paired up with a couple nice guys,all good
Average at Best
Most of course appears dormant at this time. Greens are patchy with small clumps of grass growing throughout.
