Well worth it!
Nice layout. wide open fairways, but if you miss the fairway, you're in trouble.
Great Municiple Course
Actually played the Pines Course, but it defaults to the Oaks Course for some reason. The course is in great condition. The fairways are green and plush and the greens are also full, no weeds or bare spots. All in all, excellent condition.
Pace was slow because of a fivesome ahead of us. Greens were a little bumpy on some but overall a good value.
Bad Greens
Nice old municipal style layout. Fun to play but greens are in very poor condition. On a 4 foot put your chances of making it even with the proper line and speed are no better than 50/50. Really a shame.
Overall the course is a nice course, easy play for any level of player. The Greens are in poor shape and could use some attention
Course in bad shape
Played the course a great deal five years ago and it was in great shape. They have really let it slide. Not a level spot on the tee box and all torn up. Fairways were full of divots and dead in spots. Greens had weeds all over. Used to be my favorite public course but will have to look elsewhere.
Greens need work
Course was good except for greens spotty pohana causing putts to move off line
Pace of play is horrendous!!
Since the Pines is partly open the Oaks has been severely backed up. Atleast 5 hour round. Greens are patchy so putting is inconsistent. Can't wait for the Pines to be opened.
Ft. Walton Beach Pines course
We had to play the front 9 twice. the back 9 holes were closed for repairs.
The back 9 was closed so we had to play the front twice. There was a SIXsome in front of us for the 1st 9 !!!! The 2nd 9 we flew through. The greens were bumpy.
