Always a great course
I love this course! Greens rolled well, fairways were in good condition, the staff and restaurant are always great.
Highly Recommend the Pines
Very friendly staff, Fairways in ok shape, little shaggy, greens in good shape
Nice course
The greens were in good shape. Fairways and tee boxes were also in good shape. A few weeds here and there but not a problem. For the money you cant beat it. Very nice restaurant/bar. Very nice staff. Pines course has wide open fairways and very few water hazards. Hard to lose a ball. If you don’t play a lot this is your course. They also have another 18 hole course (oaks) little more challenging.
Course in good shape
Greens are slow. Holes are worn at the edges and are due to be re-cut.
Nice golf course
Highly recommended!
The Pines and the Oaks Love it both...
Nice 18
The Pine Course was in good shape.
Forgiving fairways. Nice greens. Well keep facility.
Good value for 18 holes.
Great value
Had a lot of fun playing this course. Drove roughly 45 minutes based on previous reviews and perceived value for the price. The reviews were spot on. My son who is 7 had a lot of fun playing this layout. We chose the pines track because of its flat nature and little water. A couple of spots on this course were a little confusing based on twists and turns Of the cart path but it was a great day. Wish it was closer so I could play it again. Seems like an older course. Only complaint was I wish there would’ve been a beverage/snack cart. We didn’t bring a cooler and it was hot! There were coolers of water every 5-6 holes. Luckily we had a bottle water to refill.
Playable course; great condition.
I have played this course three times on trips from Ohio. The course has always been in good shape. The staff is always been friendly. The bloody Mary’s are probably the best in the world. Drink the bloody Mary’s after play :-)
Ok
The punching of the greens was still evident, but was not bad. Some if the fairways was sparse but other wise good. Was not informed of a Lady’s tournament that we had to follow. The front desk guy was bland. The starter did inform me of the tournament. But the price was good. An above average muni.
Fort Walton county club
The tee bases and fairways are below average. There is a lot of non grass areas in them. The greens are average. The value was above average. The overall experience was good. The overall rating I would give is 3.3.
Beautiful Course
We played the Pines a beautiful course with extremely friendly staff wide open fairways beautiful greens and a slow foursome in front of us so we enjoyed the scenery
Never Got to Play & Never Got the Credit
We were travelling that day to Florida, and called several times inquiring if our tee time was still good due to the severe weather. Multiple people in the shop told us to call back after 2:00pm. (Our original tee time was 1:04pm.) We finally got an answer after calling a twice after 2:00pm that they may be ready for us to walk the course after 2:30pm. Because we had dinner plans, there was no way walking the course at that time would work; 2:00pm would have been pushing it for us as it is. I told the golf pro that, and asked for a rain check. I was told that I would have to take it up with GolfNow since that's who I booked through. When I told him that GolfNow could only help me if the tee time was cancelled by the course due to weather, he told me there was nothing that he could do. They would not cancel my tee time even though the course was closed for weather during my tee time! I'm stuck with no resolution due to GolfNow's policy, because the course would not just cancel it what was already cancelled.
Buyer beware. If you're interested in playing this course, just book directly with them. They do not work well with adhering to booking rules from 3rd parties.
Getting here.
Greens are not there yet. Difficult to figure out. Didn't make a putt all day.
