Corte Bella Golf Club

Nice reception as usual and great service at the corner. Cart Path only so about 4.5 hours as expected. Always fun to play Corte Bella as it presents a different look than the typical Surprise tracks with a bit more variation in the par 4’s in particular. Greens were rolling reasonably fast given we are in overseeding season.

Course in good shape and enjoy the free range balls that came with the rate. You need to put your putts center cup or they won't drop.

My only complaint is in the condition of the sand traps. Not enough sand to blast. I sculled two sand shots resulting in DBogie. I know you are not supposed to go into traps but occasionally you do. Easy course except if you enter thr traps.

Tyson is very cordial in the Pro shop & Drew out side does keep busy. Late afternoon round solo, undulation is plentiful throughout the course that leaves all sorts of lies. Pin placement on several greens were downright diabolical with speed to roll out on slopes down hill ! Receptive to shots that leave legitimate ball marks but still firm. Been here a couple of times and certainly enjoy the experience.

Coming back from some summer fairway issues and I love playing this course and do so often. Wide forgiving fairways, fairly fast greens, lots of bunkers fairly positioned, some water. Staff are super, bar and grill excellent. It is my favorite go to course all summer. Rates go up for winter in a month or so. Fairly chllenging despite the wide fairways. Only negative is that the bunkers have stones in them. I wish they would sift the sand and make the traps more fair but try to overlook that one negative as I love playing the course so much.

Nice layout with several interesting holes. Tees and greens in good to above average shape, sand traps are gravel and fairways were showing a little of the summer heat stress. No one on course as my twosome played in 3 hours. Water and ice available at the start, the turn and two other places on the course. Would recommend playing if one gets a hot deal but probably only during the summer as the club is usually filled with its members during prime season

i have played here before and i really enjoy the entire round. from checking in to the course to the cart person that cleans my clubs. friendly, courteous. the course had some weened and dry areas, after all it is the end of August, but overall in good shape. always fun playing here. the course, obviously add some kick when playing the back tees. i have played here before and will play here again

I have played here plenty of times and to have grabbed a $27 rate on a Sunday morning, I had to play.

It is a strong lay out and the greens are generally good with a lot of slope and movement. We did not see anyone in front or in back of us and played in 3:30 as a 2 some. Put it on your must play list...

Warm but not hot and the course was vacant. My buddy and I cruised around the course at 3 hours, never waiting and letting a single play through. Greens were excellent, faster than anticipated. Fairways had some bare spots, but should be expected for this time of year in AZ. Always feel like I wasted a few shots out there, but that is more on me than because of the course conditions.

First time playing at Corte Bella. We are moving to the community in 3 weeks and I wanted to check out the course and the staff. I was not disappointed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Given the hot weather, the course was in surprisingly good shape. The greens were generous but a little rough because they still showed some of the holes from a recent spiking. Some bare spots in the fairways, but those should disappear when the weather gets better.

Truly enjoyed playing here for the first time. My GPS took me to a back private gate so I had to figure out how to find the front of the gates community. Once in the right area I was created by the bag drop and shown plenty of parking. The starter got us off early and I was paired with two nice gentlemen, also new to playing this course. We had a great round with pace of play at 4 hours, and I look forward to playing again.

My only letdown was no beverage cart. It's dead of summer and I would have liked to have had an option to purchase more beverages throughout the day. They did have a few water stations and two stations with an ice machine which was awesome!

played this course on a warmer summer day. the staff was friendly, and attentive. the course was in good shape on greens and tees and fairly good on fairways.. will def be back

Excellent condition, although the greens look like the heat is affecting the Rye grass. Black/White tee combo is 6700+ yards, and overall the course offers a challenge to any level of skill.

I had read some of the negative reviews after booking my round and I don't what course they played, but it wasn't here. I was expecting the place to be a burnt out wreck. On the contrary the course is in good shape. On the course the fairways had green grass and were playable. They were not burned out and dead. I thought the fairways were in good shape overall. The greens rolled true. Although, some of the raise greens got me. I missed my approach shot and bounce off. There are some subtle breaks and tiers to consider too.

I played as a single and the staff was very friendly to me from the guy who checked me in to the cart guys even up to the guy at the grill after the round. During the round I ran into a local four-some who let me play through. Very nice people here. The range was in good shape. I had no issues here at all. I had a great time playing and I will be back.

It is summer time in Arizona and the temperatures are rising. It got up to 107 degrees on the day I played. The course offers ice and water free. There is a small ice chest on the cart.

To the "grumpy gus's" that leave the bad review when you shoot a bad round...yes, please play somewhere else. Sounds like you ruin the rounds for everyone else who might have to play with you. BTW. No, I do not work for the course. I do not have a house in the community. I am just someone who wants to play a relaxing round of golf with some nice people.

Course was in pretty good shape for this time of year. Clubhouse staff went above and beyond...again. They are one of the most friendly and helpful clubhouse staffs I have experienced in AZ.

Fairways in good shape, cut low. Rough wasn't too tall, not as challenging to hit out of as winter months. Greens rolling true, in very good shape.

I always considered this course the crown jewel of the sun city area however this time playing I was greatly dismayed. The greens were in poor shape the rough was all different kinds of grass with many long pieces of grass. There was grass in the bunkers also the range doesnt get cut anymore it looks like. Many wear spots by the cart paths just overall the course use to be in 10/10 shape I would say it was in 4/10 shape this year. Many other options in sun city time to move on and find another jewel.

It is a fun track and a very courteous staff. I will be back!
