Course Highlights
Corte Bella consistently earns praise for its wide, generous fairways and challenging layout with sloped greens and varied pin placements. Exceptionally friendly staff and smooth pace of play make every round a welcoming experience.

The course at Corte Bella Golf Club was done in a desert style but avoids the target greens and forced carries that are at some desert courses in the area. It has a classic layout on a beautiful terrain of ficus, Italian cypress, and oleander, creating a scenic ambiance. The designer, Greg Nash, kept traditions of classical golf architecture in mind and made a course that champions the strategic player. Both the immaculately manicured greens and the wide fairways are well protected by bunkers on this course, making accuracy on the approach shot a priority. Water hazards come into play on three holes at Corte Bella Golf Club.

Very nice private course

The course was in excellent condition for summer play. Played in the afternoon, and had the course to ourselves. Some challenging holes with plenty of traps.

Poor Course Conditions

This course is a wreck! For a semi-private club, you would expect far better. There are plenty of public courses that are in better shape than this place. The fairways were virtually non-existent. No grass.....we had to set our own rule that you could roll your ball in the fairway just to find the nearest grass. Greens rolled well and have been maintained. This place is off my list for a long, long time.

I want to retire here

Starter picked me up at the parking lot and unloaded my clubs from my car. At the end of the round, the Starter rode the back of the cart and let us drive to our cars for loading. Now that's a great customer service.

I love that they provide Styrofoam cups and ice and allow you to load up coolers with ice. They have ice machines halfway through front and back nine. The bathrooms are scented clean. Cold water towels are scented as well. I feel like I'm at a golf spa.

The practice balls are included and are at the golf range inside miniature Titleist golf bags at each tee box. Unfortunately, there's no snack cart.

The fairways were lush in May, but drying out in late June. The greens are challenging with lots of slopes. No too many flat greens here. If there were more large trees for shade near the tee boxes, then this would be the perfect neighborhood AZ golf course.

Great couse for a quick round of golf.

The course is a semi private club welcoming the public due to lack of membership. The layout is interesting with several holes that are truly great. The number 2, 7, 13, and 18th all offer great risk reward holes from the black tees. Number 13th 607 from the back tees requires two great shots to setup a short iron to the tiered green.
Putting surfaces are in superb condition, running true and at a good pace for the summer conditions. Winter rye has not given way for the Bermuda grass to thrive in all locations on the fairways, however management seems to be dealing with the issue and seems to be making progress.
I played at a "Ridiculous rate of $19.50. Playing as a single I zipped around in 2 hours 10 minutes.
Only thing that could have been better was My Score.

Nice Layout

Greens are awesome, fairways have lots of large bare areas leading to mud balls more often than not. Local members at the 19 hole were very friendly. Such a nice course but sinful the fareways are in such bad condition. One could make a call amount your group to lift and place and play bare areas ground under repair

Quality design, nice greens, great value

Corte Bella is a very fair, moderately challenging course, with a great value in the Northwest valley. The greens are well maintained and moderately fast, smooth, with quite a bit of undulation on many holes.
The day we played, we were advised that the summer Bermuda was struggling to come in on the fairways, so the course was rather wet from watering. However, the greens were in great shape.
The design features many risk/reward holes so with generous fairways the risk is often worthwhile. Water comes into play on several holes and plenty of bunkers give the impression fairways are tighter than they actually are.
Overall, a great value with friendly staff. I can overlook the difficulties with the Bermuda, as this happens more often than superintendents would like, but is a fact of life at times in overseeing regions.

Didn't know it but booked into a shotgun start. I was a single with 3 members. Kind of uncomfortable at first until the old guy offered me into his personal cart. Nice greens, tricky, wide open fairways. Facilities were nice.

a great summer value

extremely well taken care of, wide fairways but long enough to be challenging. we played in the afternoon so we were the only ones on the course. only complaint was the lack of cart girl but they had water everywhere and we got drinks before the round and at the turn.

also extremely cheap drinks - 4 gatorades, 2 sodas and 2 beers for 20 bux!

The course had many challenging features.

I found this course to be thoroughly enjoyable. It was challenging but fair. If you hit the shot you were rewarded with a beneficial result. The challenging features included undulating greens, numerous bunkers protecting many elevated greens, and couple of holes with shots over water.
All in all a very pleasant experience.

Good course. Fun to play.

Really a fun course to play. Puts a real premium on your short game and if slightly off your sand play. The overall course is in really great condition. The greens are fairly quick and putt very true. Ample room for tee shots.

Course in great shape; lovely clubhouse and friendly staff.

I'd recommend this course especially at the comopetitive price we paid. The clubhouse is lovely and the staff very accomodating. We've always found random pairings to be very friendly and a pleasure to play with. High on our list.

Solid Course

I played in an 8am shotgun event. It was cool and windy, so that added to the challenge. The course was in great shape and is a nice lay-out; some water and lots of sand. My only complaint would be directed at the pro shop staff. They were not at all helpful in the process. Once they confirmed that my name was on their list they told me the hole that I started on, and to put my clubs on any cart and I was good to go. I had to ask around for directions to my hole and there was no system in place for enlightening me as to who my playing partners were. As a result, 2 of us in our group took separate carts; kind of a waste of resources.
I had signed up for a similar shotgun event 3 weeks prior. When I arrived at 7:15am I was told that there was a one hour frost delay. I was also told that I would have to finish my round by 12:30pm, being as there was another event that afternoon. The pro shop official was dismissive and unconcerned when I noted that I would not be able to play 18 holes in 3.5 hours. As a result I called GolfNow.com and was refunded my money; I didn't play that day.
