Nice place to spend a day golfing

Coyote 9 was in perfect shape for time of year.

Roadrunner was a bit of a disappointment though.

Would still come back at some point.

Great course, too moist!!

I really enjoy this course, but they have to figure out how too take away the moist and sloppy areas.

Greens are the largest issue! They are so moist that balls are plugging and you can see the foot prints from golfers. The maintenance equipment are leaving deep tracks when the greens are being mowed.

With some dryer weather in sight, the course conditions should improve!!

Wonderful time and views!

I had an opportunity to play this course at around $80. This is about $40 less than what a normal teatime cost for this course. When I arrived, I was greeted very nicely from the gentleman in the pro shop. He pointed me to the carts as well as to the range. They are set my card outside with my last name on it. I thought that was a pretty cool touch. The layout and views of this golf course are absolutely gorgeous. At one point, I turned around and I could see the entire city of Tucson with the backdrop of Mount Lemmon. I love the elevated teas, heading up to Greene, heading down to a green, and the different challenges of a not so flat surface even in the fairway. The only negative that I can think of for this place is it the greens were not in the greatest of shape. Even after all of the rain that we’ve had this summer, I would’ve thought that the greens would’ve been immaculate. There is no way I would pay $120 for a round of golf with greens that we had patches, poorly mowed bald spots, and brown patch in areas. Everything else was wonderful. I will definitely come back and enjoy another round.

Challenging course

The course was in great shape, but you’ll want to be hitting it straight. Not a lot of room for errant shots.

Course needs work.

Reasonably interesting desert layout. Lots of carryovers waste areas with heavy vegetation. Elevation frequently on play. Fairway conditions ok. Green approaches in rough shape. Greens were shaggy and slow. Not too interesting. Excellent lunch food barbecue in bar area. It’s ok not great.

Great Layout

Lots of forced carry. Be careful of tee choice. Must be a long hitter on a few holes to make the fairway. Gorgeous views. A very fair course.

Great course, rude marshall

Tough course with a lot of target golf and forced carries or shots that you just have to layup. Greens were in solid condition and bunkers too.

Marshall is a wannabe old tough guy who thinks people are scared of him and is honestly a jerk. Yells about slow play and no one is behind us and we’re waiting for the group ahead on majority of holes. Saw him on first two holes and never again, so yeah not really doing his job.

I was in the same group. We teed off after 2 PM and were on to the second hole within 5 minutes. We were intending to play a 3v3 scramble with our friends in the tee time behind us and if at any point we were holding anyone up (unlikely) we'd let them play through. When the power-tripping retiree cantankerously rolled up to us in the #2 fairway we pleasantly informed him of this plan but he was sarcastic, rude, and unwieldly with the little bit of power he held. If there's a policy that's understandable and all well and good, but it was the late afternoon, over 100 F and cooler heads did not prevail (probably incapable).

We ended up playing the round in 3 hours and 6 minutes.

5/5 course.

1/5 starter-"marshal".

Course Conditions

The greens were in not the best condition. The worst I’ve even seen at Starpass. The course is very challenging which is nice.
